Could the Playing With Wiki use a cleanup and more collaboration?:
YKTTW, but a stickied thread in special efforts or somewhere would probably go a long way to improving PW pages). Possibly some sort of more detailed style guide too. I'm personally quite fond of reading Playing With Wiki entries (as well as writing the occasional one), but when I'm doing the former I tend to be find pages with only a few entries [[notelabel:*]]and the rest of the template left blank, no link back to the main trope page, inconsistent entries, etc[[/notelabel]] and when I'm doing the latter, I always have an overwhelming feeling that someone could do much better for at least some of the entries (if not all of them). I don't know if anyone else has the same experience, but it would be nice if editing the playing with wiki felt more like editing a wiki and less like sorting books alone in a library....
TerradorablyfyingDark Confidant and I are going from opposite ends of the alphabet and fixing Example Indentation. I remove some stuff that's clearly wrong ("conversed" seems to be misused a lot), but I'm not usually adding/changing/cleaning anything else. I also remove lines at the top and obsolete indexing at the bottom. For me, it's a mindless project like namespacing. A Special Efforts thread might be a good idea, but I haven't started one because I've felt that it's possible to do with fewer people than the namespace migration effort, so I don't want the people in Special Efforts willing to do that to be distracted.
YKTTW-ing for it, I've half written a lot of PWW entries and then scrapped them because I didn't think I could come up with good examples for all the entries).
Seeking for LightI vaguely recall at some point one of the older mods (in terms of length of time they've been a mod) stating that not all variations have to be present in a Playing With page, and that indeed for some tropes it wasn't even possible for all the variations to happen.
Trope Decay of those variations.
Rhymes with "Protracted."
Well, I know that some tropes simply can't be Played for Laughs or Played for Drama - I just created a Playing With page - Teaser Equipment, which is a video game mechanic trope and therefore simply is, no laughs or drama involved. But as Telcontar said, I'm largely doing this mechanically, only really concerned with plucking the obsoleted indexing markup and proper indentation except when there are egregious flaws. (And that word does in fact mean what I think it means.)

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
