okay byeeeee"Maybe it wanted another round?" Billie suggested, the air around her starting to get frosty. She'd be happy to oblige if that were the case. Noticing the three other fighters fighting the demon head-on she darted around to the side of the creature, picking out a couple of stones from her pocket that she froze and sent flying towards the demon. It'd have to do until she could charge some of her stronger attacks.
The most sinister gentleman. The demon watched the rocks draw close with narrowed eyes. It seemed unusually displeased with them, and it used an unusually high amount of magical energy to deflect them. While it was focused on blocking them, however, it left itself exposed.
MS Paint? Hell Yeah!"I'll provide long-range support." Vann said to Billie, before making some distance from her. Then, from the water pouch near his belt, Vann made two spikes out of water, increased their density and viscosity to the point where they are capable of stabbing, and launched them at the monster.
Carwyn navigated around the room and looked as if he was about to pounce at the creature. Just as it looked as if he looked like he was about to leap, he attempted to move across the floor past the creature, attacking its underside as he went.
The most sinister gentleman. The monster hissed with frustration as the other attacks came at it. Letting out what could have been a sigh, it jumped to avoid Carwyn's attack, then hit the ground just as the ice flew towards it. It twisted around in an attempt to avoid the ice, but one of them still hit it in the shoulder. While it worked to evade, it began to conjure a thin strand of purple lightning with a red core. As soon as the spikes had all flown past, it fired the bolt at Vann. Before anyone gets confused, I'd like to state that the attack the demon is using isn't actually electricity-based. It's more of a stun/brief (lasting only a few seconds) Power Nullifier attack.
Classy RosesThankfully more people had come. Andel quickly renewed his focus on draining the life force of the demon as quickly as he could. Arguably he could siphon the life force into another but that would require more focus and drain less than simply removing the life force altogether. As he began to drain the life of the demon he fired two more arrows but these were enchanted with the same armor piercing spell as before for the maximum chance to pierce the demons skin and inflict a deep wound. "Good, now that we have a number of us here, we should be able to handle this demon quite nicely" he said to no one in particular and only loud enough that those nearby would likely hear it.
Someone had to keep Hiei in line right?
okay byeeeee"Vann!" Billie rushed over to him, her hands quickly becoming encased in ice that her orb conjured. They'd have to do since there wasn't enough time to create a separate ice entity, so as she reached him she thrust her hands up in an attempt to make the ice absorb the attack. Even if it couldn't and she had to take the hit Vann's magic would be stronger and more useful than hers was right now.
The most sinister gentleman.Yet again, the demon hissed its displeasure with the situation. The ice thawed when the lightning struck it, but by the time it stopped serving as protection, the creature had whirled the bolt around to intercept that arrows. One of the arrows was knocked aside, while the other lost its enchantment and bounced off the demon. As soon as the arrow had landed, the demon ceased the lightning and instead worked on throwing around purple and blue flames around. It wasn't trying to hit anything in particular, just trying to knock projectiles out of the air and make it dangerous to approach.
Carwyn manoeuvred around behind the demon, dodging what would hit him, and slashed at its back.
MS Paint? Hell Yeah!"Thanks, Billie." Vann said, slightly embarrassed. He honestly hadn't predicted that the demon would pick him of all targets, and was taken off guard by the lightning arc. It seemed that utmost caution must be taken against this not-so-dead demon, as it acted in a rather unpredictable fashion. Backing off a few steps, Vann grasped the orb in his pocket and drew the hood of his jacket so his face became concealed. Charging the orb, he began to take upon his transformed appearance: blue, subtly glowing eyes, and face tainted with transparent skin and veins, which was exactly why he drew the hood of his jacket. Vann waved his arms, and upon its wrists high-viscosity blades made of water were generated, one for each arm. Vann then noticed that the demon began throwing flames randomly, however he was too far away to be hit by those. Arranging his stratagems accordingly, multiple water bullets began appearing near Vann, five, seven... and continuously multiplying in number.
The most sinister gentleman. The demon twisted in an attempt to avoid the attack, receiving a scratch that it mostly ignored. It was clearly getting impatient, but it didn't stop throwing around the flames yet.
okay byeeeeeBillie was already panting from exertion; her session with Vann had apparently taken more out of her than she'd predicted. She fumbled for her orb and let it transform her, feeling slightly stronger as her body morphed into its more feline form. She couldn't be bothered to dodge the fireballs and simply batted away any that came close to her. It stung, but she ignored it as she darted forwards and started clawing at the demon's back.
The most sinister gentleman. The demon, seeing the attack, closed its eyes and waited. It let itself receive the injury with strange calmness, then reached back and tried to grab Billie's arm with one hand while creating an orb of flame in the other, which it shot at Vann.
okay byeeeeeShe was too distracted by her attack and weariness to notice the demon's movements, but once the hand clamped over arm Billie and quickly bit into the demon's flesh. Ice encased and sharpened the claws of her free hand, which she used to tear at his arm more.
The most sinister gentleman.Billie's attempts worked better than expected. Her claws didn't just cut the demon, they caught the wood and forced the demon to rip its own arm off to free itself. Once its arm was taken off, it revealed that the wood on the inside of the arm was dark and damaged, as if it had been burnt. Once free from her grip, the demon summoned another halo and began using it as a melee weapon against Billie.
Carwyn stayed behind the demon and clawed at its arm.
MS Paint? Hell Yeah!"Right, Billie. You're being so careful right there." Vann said in a voice inaudible in the heat of battle. Thirty two bullets in total, had been formed and were ready to fire. The water bullets he conjured didn't hit as hard as ice bullets, but they still pack quite a punch. With a motion of his finger, three of the bullets propelled themselves at high speed towards the demon's main body. This was an attempt to gain its attention, after which the others could freely strike him.
The most sinister gentleman. The demon got struck by the claws, but then twisted around to look at the ice bullets. It grabbed the halo in both hands and pulled into two halves, which became fire. As the bullets struck, it used both the flames and the force of the bullets to propel it backwards, straight towards a corner. It stopped just a few feet short of the wall, then summoned from one hand a wave of sticky black liquid that resembled water more than anything else. The liquid formed a huge pool around the demon, and it summoned some kind of barrier to serve as added protection.
okay byeeeeeBillie followed the creature, stopping short as the black liquid spread across the floor. Quickly she ran to and up the wall, climbing up to the ceiling and hanging from there with her claws. She swiped with one hand, the ice separating from her claws and shooting towards the demon from above.
MS Paint? Hell Yeah!Seeing the black liquid spread around the demon, Vann was reminded of its striking similarity with the liquid all-familiar to him: water. He wondered if he could control it, and perhaps, use it against the demon. Vann quickly applied a simple 'lift' to a very small portion of the black liquid, testing the extent of his theoretical control.
The most sinister gentleman. The demon parried the claws with its arm, taking advantage of the strength of the wood. Some of the liquid rose as Vann commanded it, though it was a very small amount. It seemed that the liquid had some resistance to Orbkeeper powers, but was far from immune.
okay byeeeeeFrowning at the deflected attack Billie crawled closer to the creature, being careful to remain both wary of attacks and to keep her balance. Once she was close enough she opened her mouth and let loose her icy breath again, aiming to freeze the creature's wooden limbs. The overuse of her magic was starting to show, as what looked light blue cracks started to spread from her mouth and across her face.
Mad PinoyPhoebus, stepping away from the pool of liquid forming from the demon's magic, decided to utilize another tactic. Releasing a stream of fire to try to weaken the barrier, Phoebus then threw the spear where he had pressed the fire for several seconds, in the hope that the barrier was weakened enough to break from the spear's impact and allow the weapon to strike the demon.
Something, something. Always something.
The most sinister gentleman. The demon concentrated on strengthening the barrier, and when the ice and fire met, they negated each other. The spear passed right through the barrier as the claws had done, hitting the demon and sending it reeling straight into a corner.
Classy RosesAndel, with each passing second, further drained the demon of life and though it had quite a lot of life force it should begin to notice some weakness all things considered. He took in the assaults of the other orbkeepers and pondered his next move. If only he knew more about the orbkeepers he might be able to figure out how to combine their powers for maximum damage potential but alas such is not the case. Andel drew an arrow and, as he released it, charged this particular arrow to explode on impact in the hopes of destroying whatever barrier would disrupt his allies attacks or deal impressive damage to the beast itself if it hit directly.
