How about an Archive/ namespace:

This would be for all the pages that are being archived, and cannot be edited any further. Also, we could then block the pages from showing up under "Related" - so that it's less irritating for people who are working on any of the wick migration projects.

We have such a namespace already. It's not widely used, though.
If I recall, it's mostly used for things like You Know That Show/Remember that show? when there was a format shift.

There are other archive pages outside of that namespace listed on Wiki Archives.
Just don't worry about archives. They aren't important.
