Batman did the Big Brother thing in the comics a couple times, it's just that he always comes to senses eventually.
In any case, it took me ages to realize that Brainiac wasn't telling us what the plot of Injustice 2 would be, but summarizing the events of the first game. We still don't really know what's going to be going on with them now.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
Yeah, guys like Doomsday, Brainiac, Darkseid...they're just overarching villains now.
And nobody cares about freaking Metallo or Bizarro....although Lex Luthor continues to be Superman's most popular villain, so there's that.

I like Bizarro.
I think outside of Lex the only real popular Superman villains who Aren't Crisis Crossover villains are Silver Banshee and Livewire
but they are being transplanted as more Supergirl villains nowadays
I mean I get why its easier to come up with threats to Bats too the point his major rouges are some twisted take on Class, Emotion or Insanity... Cause Bats is fighting Injustice
Sups being a symbol hope... Well you can't really get more despair incarnate then Darkseid Tends to have dark foils since being such a powerful being himself... just making something that can go blow for blow is boring 'IE Doomsdays problem' So thematic you have to make someone a foil /principle opposite of Sups
Zod is pretty much Sups without His Human morality or Basic humility.

Bizarro is one of Superman's more well known and popular villains. He's also currently part of the Outlaws alongside Red Hood and Artemis.
×3
That's not true, especially not in the case of Bizarro. If "no one cared" about them, they wouldn't be two of Superman's most recurring villains, outside of Luthor and Braniac.

"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Are there any updates regarding the potential Guest Fighters (namely Sub-Zero, Spawn, and Hellboy)?
Come to think about it, can't these games have Wildstorm characters? Are the videogame rights for them a separate thing, or are they fair play after DC's buyout?
I mean, I'd pay good money to see Midnighter and Apollo strolling into the Injustice world.
Given that they're part of the regular DCU, the answer should be pretty self-explanatory.
However, there's no way they're notable enough to make the cut when there are dozens of way more popular characters who inevitably won't get in.
Slightly late, but the Watchtower stream has started.
Let it be known that if Ed Boon could tell his past self anything, it'd be to cancel Special Forces.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaHey, they fixed Batman's pose!
Sorry, but I'm curious and I just can't see it... what was wrong with Batman's pose previously?
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I described it earlier as the "I'm holding a bomb detonator and about to press it" pose and I still stand by that description.
His new one looks a lot more Batman-y.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI like Robin's style... it's also definitely Damian in feel
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Um...he literally says in his entrance "I'm your only son," and Batman throws Dick Grayson in his face.
I meant as in Fighting style
IE he isn't just being Dick with a coat of paint. IE the sword use is a very Damian trait
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!I definitely read that as "I feel" rather than "in feel." I blame my work schedule of 16 out of the last 18 days. :P
Stargirl or Riot!
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Robin's super would be cool in a game where most of the other characters had supers that were far more impressive.
That's something that's always bugged me about the supers in this series. I could buy the ridiculousness of some of the supers more if that level of spectacle was across the board. But instead half of them feel like they're from a completely different game from the other half.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Damien wants to be in Mortal Kombat so badly it's almost painful to watch him perform that super move.
In Mortal Kombat he might actually be intimidating. I'm kind of baffled he's still trying so hard to be Robin/Nightwing when the Injustice storyline has him rebel from Bruce's philosophy. Having him wear a red Nightwing costume might have testified to his guilt, but at this point? He's still wearing Robin colors.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Regarding supers I can't see how it's possible that everyone can manage the same level of spectacle.
I mean, as a B-lister or lower character with less power than Supes or way less money than Batman, they'll probably have to live with sliding between legs and leaving an explosive pie behind, or fancy gun twirling, or fancy swordsmanship... (or Wonder Woman's lame super...)
Now, I wonder how Batman and Superman's new supers would work if they were fighting at some space station though... (I say "space station" since IIRC Watchtower's been blown up in Injustice 1, right? Though there's always the possibility Batman built another in the meantime.)
Maybe he's changed back to Robin colors from Nightwing since he really wants to taunt Bats starting with "I'm yer only son!"
#2989
Oh I see. The old one was sort of like Scorpion's usual stance (but lower arm) I guess? Now Batman's got a far more generic but plausible and practical fighting stance...

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! It's possible to give people without powers supers with spectacle (even if nothing is happening that's necessarily really titanic), as long as you emphasize the right things: this is a superhero series, where characters like Harley can cause loads of wanton property damage and Deathstroke can Offhand Backhand the Flash with a sword to the gut.
Likewise, they could've given the more powerful characters supers that still well embodied their strength without getting so ridiculous (for example, I think Superman's super in this one is a step up from the one in Injustice 1).
The key, I think, is to make the supers a more common sense of action and direction, so they all feel like they match even when they don't. Injustice sometimes feels like they interpreted "over the top" completely differently for every single character, so even the stronger characters don't always match to one another. On the other hand Marvel Vs Capcom, for example, has stuff like powerless hitmen shooting guns next to gods trapping people in pocket dimensions, but everything is fast-paced and flashy and uses the same tricks to flow the same way.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Ah, I see. So the goal should not be making everything ultra flashy, but to make sure all the supers are equally flashy...
P.S. So about that "powerless hitman", I just realized how much these supers in MVC 3 are kinda comparable, so mind blown.
- Frank West's "Die Die Die"
- Super Skrull's ground pound into fire punch super
- Dr. Strange's level 3
There's so many "shoots a gun a lot" supers across that whole series, it's kind of funny.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
Its kinda funny that while Bats rouges are the most well known outside of the comic community... inside its a tied between Bats and Flash
Most of Sups have become godzilla threshold villians
