Gran Turismo:

So I had a hankering for racing recently, and decided to pick up Gran Turismo 4 for about $4. So far, i've conquered the Honda CIVIC races (TWICE), sold one of the prize cars and now have a supercharged Holden Commodore.

Do you guys remember your first car from any of the games?

I only have 2, 4 and 5 (vanilla) hehe....

Oh well, my first car in 2 was FTO GT (used). My first car in 4 is Nismo 270 R, which can be obtained through Bronze-ing the Inter B License, and unlike the latter game it doesn't force you to buy a car to do anything

I've temporarily put 5 on stasis. But my first car is a used MX-5. Seemed legit and practical (because there's gotta be Mazda Roadsters race in every game)

I just got Gran Turismo 5, I haven't touched a game in this series for years. Should be fun.

I have pretty much every Gran Turismo ever released from beginning to end. Both PS1 titles, both PS2 titles, the PSP game, and GT 5 Prologue and Full version on PS3.

On a related note, Gran Turismo 6 was just announced today and is set for a holiday release this year for PS3 only. Here's the Concept Video:

Anyone with the game can tell me how Arcade Mode's like? I liked how in GT 4 you would unlock cars if you obtained the model in Career, and that has been taken away on 5.

A minor obstacle.
It doesn't seem like they'll bring the old GT 4 system back.

In GT 6 you can choose from the car you're currently driving, a smaller collection of cars than GT 5, or any cars you've marked as Favorites in your Garage.
From hardhats, to pickaxes, to plungers, and to three-shot spreads, look no further!

So, same crappy system from 5... I guess Polyphony just sucks on game design.

Which is odd considering that GT 6 was apparently supposed to fix problems like that with GT 5.

Nevermind.

I don't culminate!
There are different driving mechanics, but I suppose they just can't bother getting out of their framework. To be fair, if they take more different directions, they risk treading on the territory of other games. Besides, NO MORE STUPID SPEC POINTS GRINDING, HURRAY!

Same as usual.... Wing it.

Well, gameplay engine and mechanics are surely their forte. Unfortunately, they just plain suck on game design, which makes me a bit sad there's no Forza for PS3.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
