Every night, Tv Tropers sleep silently in their houses. Sometimes they sleep happily. Sometimes they have nightmares.

Sometimes, their dreams are collective.

And what if, as if in a curse, this happened night after night? Collective dream after collective dream?

Would the average Tv Troper be able to stand it?

This happened, once. Each time, the members would dream the same dream as the initial dreamer slept. Each would be literrally in the same dream.

This is the story of those bizarre nights.

Okay, this isn't realtime. Dreams will last until the initial dreamer wakes. Nightmare-ers may wake up if they are caught by their nightmare, though when they fall asleep, they will enter the dream until the initial dreamer wakes.

Roles:

Initial dreamer: This person is randomly selected from participants and gets to invent the dream for that night. They can cause huge things to happen in the dreams and the dream ends when they wake up.

Nightmares: The Nightmares are the creatures of nightmares that are, in fact, dreamers who are scared.

Angelia: Even in a nightmare, there are angels to protect. For every large, collective dream, there is an assortment of dreamers that dream as Angelia. (Basically the opposite of a nightmare)

Dreamers: Normal dreamers. They can cause dreamlike things to happen, but nothing huge.

Time:

Sleepy time: This is when members are falling asleep. It pretty much lasts until the Initial Dreamer falls asleep and the dream begins.

Dreamtime: The night as you sleep and dream. Need I say more?

The Waking Day: You interact during The Waking Day. This lasts between rounds, as roles are assigned. Any interactions are allowed, but this is the world of reality. No dreamlike events during The Waking Day are allowed.

Since this is a big forum, I'll limit it to the following: two people per type of dream, except for the initial dreamer, of course. I'll be initial dreamer, and start The Dreamtime thread over in the active games section.

Already said I'd be initial. And in a way, nearly anything can happen in a dream. It can't be a noodle incident and it has to be continuous storylinewise with the other dreams, but you are playing your own character, dream, and type of dream.

Which role would you guys want? I have a bunch of 'sounds interesting', but not any roles chosen.

I'd be alright as an Angelia or a Nightmare, really. Though being some kind of dream sentinel actually sounds pretty sweet.

This here concept looks pretty neat. I'd kind of like to be a Nightmare, but since those are randomly selected like you said I'll have to go for somethin' else.

Just for everyone's knowledge, I removed the part about random selection. Too much of a headache for me. Or I'm just lazy and don't want to do the whole randomization thing.

Sounds kinda cool. I'd be fine with just a regular dreamer.

As of right now, we have two options: wait for one more person to say they want to fill the open angelica spot or start. What do you guys say?

I could always pull double as both initial and angelica if you guys want.

(I completely forgot, but if you guys have out-of-game questions for each other or me about storyline/etc in-game, just separate it in its own paragraph with parentheses like what I'm doing here.)

I could be an Angelica, but I'd be different from a traditional guardian angel, as in, I won't be prancing around in wings and a halo. But I will be a benevolent guardian figure.

That's the goal of the Angelica.

I should note two things: a)It doesn't matter if you use first or third person b)If you haven't gotten around to reading the two examples I linked, which I highly suggest you do, your stories in the dreamworld are all interlinked. You can talk, meet, etc. The nightmares and angelicas have physical effects in the dreamworld.

Since there's no complaints as so far, I'll go ahead and close the sign up and start the game. I'll message all of you in the game with the link with the game. Make sure to read the examples.

If I haven't made this clear, you are having a dream, and your dream affects you, the world around you, and the others as you meet them. NOT the other way around. MAKE SURE to keep this straight.
