I like the current image, but it looks very like the entirety of a piece of fanart. I've found someone on dA who it may well be by (their name was linked to from another page with the image and a lot of their stuff is creepy ponies, but it's not immediately obvious if this piece is in her gallery), so I'm dropping her a note to ask if she made it and if we can use it. I know that the image might not stay.

Yes, it was this. "Too scary" if I remember well was the argument for its removal by the edit warriors.

It is creepy yes, but that picture is fairly tame when it comes to the creepy department, at least in my opinion, and I'm not someone who tolerates this kind of stuff. Oh well, YMMV and all that...

One of the reasons I suggested my image is because it's creepy without being something that's "Too scary" or "OH MAN WHAT THE FUCK!?".

I messaged someone I thought might have created it, based off their other work, but I couldn't find it in their gallery so it was a guess. They wrote back saying they had trouble with the links, which were fine from my end; I've suggested Google terms that make the page the first hit, but have got no further response.
Do you have the link for the actual page on dA where it's from? Then I could see if I got the right person, and message the actual creator if I didn't.
As it is, we haven't got permission.

This one is fresh out of the namespacery action that is converting High Octane Nightmare Fuel into Nightmare Fuel, but also out of an Edit War about the image on its old page and the example-cut and index-conversion in the TRS thread
. Also, it is much too large for the current index size.
