I too would love to see a SC-style Game of Thrones fighting game, but you'd have to include a lot of the non-knight fighters for variety. I'm thinking as the roster:

Barristan Jaime Bronn the Cleganes Oberyn Drogo Syrio Arya (or Jaqen) Obara or another of the Sand Snakes Beric

Arthur Dayne could be an unlock.

With Visenya and the Nights King as secret characters?

The Night's King would be the (unplayable) final boss in the vein of Jinpachi Mishima of Tekken 5.

Shouldn't the Great other be the unplayable final boss?

The loooong off season gets old so fast. Winter is coming and with it the long wait.

I wish there were more episodes per season.

[up]Then imagine how the long time book readers must feel.

Speaking of which, I just started reading the first book. It's kind of weird because it feels like I'm watching the first episode play out in slow motion.

I heard season 1 was super surreal because it was so word-for-word.

Huh. They were right about the kingsguard failing to sheathe his sword.

Stannis is definitely dead. So, the once-great house of Baratheon is gone, with only up to three bastards remaining.

They also keep saying Jon Snow won't come back. I won't believe it until I see his corpse burnt to a crisp in the show.

"All that is gold does not glitter,

Not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither,

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From his corpse a fire shall be woken,

A light from the shadows shall spring;

Renewed shall be our faith that was broken,

The crownless again shall be king."

In other words as Ser Badass of House Mook once predicted "The scouring fire will come! King Stannis will return! "

[up] I think there's around 16 Baratheon bastards left in the show.

We saw them kill only King's Landing bastards and I counted 3-4 deaths that were shown.

[up][up][up] Thing is, those bastards would have to be legitimized in order to be Baratheons, and doing so would jeopardize Tommen's claim to the throne. Danaerys wouldn't do it either since she hates Baratheons, so those bastards aren't Baratheons - just Sands or Storms or probably no name at all.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if there were more Baratheons running around that are distant relations to the main Baratheon family.

Although even if there weren't then the Stormlands should pass onto (if Tommen dies or is proven illegitimate) the closest relation through the female line who would then take the last name Baratheon.

There's precedent for this with the historical Starks.

I do wonder: who is the heir of Dragonstone now? The Baratheons and their children are all dead, so who does it goes to, assuming Tommen is considered illegimate? Davos Seaworth?

The Martells probably. They have some Targ blood back from when Dorne joined the rest of the kingdoms under the Iron Throne.

[up][up] I've been wondering the same thing. Ditto with Storm's End and the title of Lord Paramount of the Stormlands, as well.

Dragonstone either goes to the Crown whoever the Crown may belong to.

If no Baratheon heir is found then the Stormlands should go that route to.

And King Whoever can give it to one of his children or another vassal.

[up][up] Dragonstone belongs to the Baratheons not the Targs (anymore).

Ian Mc Shane will not be Euron, since another actor has been picked for the role.

I just have to mention that his first name sounds really funny in French. The "Pilou Pilou" is actually the anthem of Toulon's Rugby Team.

You know it comes to my attention that the Greyjoys are the one family that most looks like each other in the show.

He looks like a cross between Loras and Theon.

The actor looks a little too young for Euron though.

Young Ned Stark has also been cast. I like. He looks like he could pass for Arya's older brother. Based on physical appearance in 5 years he would've made a great Jon Snow.

Better than Kit at least.

[up][up] And, presumably, Reddit flips its shit because he is not Mads Mikkelsen.

Unfortunately that probably means he's gonna be sent death threats, but oh well.

Mads was always a unworkable idea anyway, given how busy he is with Hannibal.

I like the casting of Euron Greyjoy.

So I guess Ian Mc Shane will be Septon Meribald/Elder Brother/Randyll Tarly, place your new bets people.

This maybe (probably?) should be discussed in the book spoilers thread.

I guess it wouldn't be spoilery for me to say that I hope Mc Shane is Elder Brother/Meribald. One because I like the character but also because the guy is kind of typecast I guess as baddies, and so it would be interesting for him to play against type as a nice guy. In contrast, him being Randyll Tarly or Aerys in the flashback (while pretty different from each other) would be along the lines of his usual casting.

Sue the Fury at Waters on the Walls says she's heard good things about Pilou so I'll be optimistic. I personally liked the idea of Rufus Sewell or another wellish known Brit (although I thought that Richard Armtiage was "way too big" for the role).

Despite being the fan favorite casting, never was a fan of Mads Mikelsen- he's one of those actors where I can never see him as anything but himself. And it's kind of like I can imagine exactly how he'd play Euron (as one of analytical creeps). There's no surprise in it.

In a more spoilery direction, I have my own thoughts on how I see Euron as a character/hope he's played. Obviously though, everyone sees different things in characters/focuses on different aspects.

Edit- Going to post in the spoilers thread
