That works.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Works for me...what's that looping thing that's cut off by the top of the pic in the first panel?
Looks fine. I like how she sits there with a neutral face.
Bump..a couple more votes and we can run with the OP.
Who is the cute girl with the ears anyway?
Bump...anyone else?
Fine with me.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerYou can add my vote to the image as well.
I can't think of anything good for a signature. It has my vote.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I've added it, currently without a caption. Are we good with the OP's idea/are there suggestions?
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. It's fine with me.
Probably too late for this, but…
The two-frame image does not convey a particular moment or cause for the ear-sprouting, which is crucial for understanding this trope. The old image shows agitation or excitement, which commonly triggers the outgrowth. The current image lacks that. It doesn't show why she sprouted ears, and is thus less illustrative and less informative.
If it is unclear that the character in the old image just sprouted ears, the trope title is just to the left. There's no reason to assume she already had the ears when she's the page image for a trope about not usually having ears.
EDIT: Might as well link to the previous thread.

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I like the old image better also. The "before" frame is not necessary.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I also prefer the old image. Change is premature.
Also any reason the new image is so pointlessly huge?

I disagree. The 'Before' frame is needed to convey the ears are not default part of the character design.
That said, I agree with Final Starman. The change was premature.
As Starman said, it's not just, as Raso put it "a normal person just spawning ears out of nowhere". The trope is about gaining animal features (Which may not even be ears) to exemplify a moo or specific character personality trait
The new new image doesn't show that at all, for the reason Final Starman explained.
Yeah, I don't like the new one either. The extra frame is redundant.
Rhymes with "Protracted.""The 'Before' frame is needed to convey the ears are not default part of the character design."
I see a case for "it does this" but not for "this is needed". Before/after is unnecessary. Article is called "Sprouting Ears", description is all about ears appearing out of nowhere, ostensibly the image is an example of it (even if it's possible that is part of her character design, it's not, and it's also possible that is part of the OP image character design but the ears are hidden under her hair in the first frame... doesn't matter).
Changed background, brown was weird:
(Border is because hair ribbons are cut off, and it looks strange without.)
v "...it will potentially confuse tropers." No it won't. Unless we're assuming they're stupid. Are we pandering to the lowest common denominator? And as mentioned a similar story could be spun for the current image: the "before" frame doesn't show she has no animal ears, just that you can't see them. The extra frame is unnecessary and wasteful. The new one is the image equivalent of People Sit On Chairs: "this happens" without even a whiff of "why". The old image is more expressive. The character is going "!", which is way more valuable.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.A character with animal features is a completely different trope. If the image doesn't make the distinction clear, it will potentially confuse tropers.
We don't need to treat every reader like they just returned from a lobotomy or as if they are functionally retarded. If we are to default to that line of thinking, that people are sop mind-blowingly dumb, why not add a picture of a cat then? I mean, without a picture of a cat, some people might not even know those aren't human ears!
I agree with That the before image is not really needed.

Crowner's hooked.
Bump for votes; two options in the green right now.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
So this trope is about a normal person just spawning ears out of nowhere, right now it does not show that at all.
A before and after would be a ton better like this
Here is a relatively plain one
