The name World Map should not be used for a video game specific trope, period. Too much chance that it would get confused with other tropes involving world maps.

Well, I pounded out a hard disambig description for it listing the most immediate things that I might associate with "world map" as a term. How does it look?

BTW, what indexes should we use for the new name? It didn't ever belong on either of the old indexes (Video Game Interface Elements and Video Game Settings). Currently it's on Map Tropes but ... that's it.
Rhymes with "Protracted."
Yes, keep World Map as a disambig, not medium specific.

Should we cut "Videogame World Map"? That redirect never got any use, it's not specific enough for the new name nor broad enough for the old one.
A-D are done.

World Map needs more tropes for the disambig.
"Nu am regrete, regretele sunt pentru morți."

Not sure about that. I tried to limit the disambig to things that may reasonably be called the "world map", because we do already have Map Tropes which is the index of map-related tropiness, and I see no need of duplicating that. And several tropes on the index aren't synonymous with the phrase "world map" (like Here There Be Dragons).
E-K done.
"Nu am regrete, regretele sunt pentru morți."
Finished. The only things left are a couple related index/map tropes, a redirect and the laconic. Locking this one.
"Nu am regrete, regretele sunt pentru morți."
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.

Alternative Titles: World Map

Vote up names you like, vote down names you don't. Whether or not the title will actually be changed is determined with a different kind of crowner (the Single Proposition crowner). This one just collects and ranks alternative titles.
At issue:
New title brainstorming for "depiction of a Video Game setting map that allows free player exploration between discrete levels/areas" (e.g. Final Fantasy-style world maps; current definition of "World Map")
