Well, the page is much shorter than I'd expect. It's not exactly an uncommon trope, I believe. It's certainly not that uncommon.
A rename might help getting more examples from other media.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. So, is the renaming a go?
It's been a week, and still no objections. I will be renaming and reworking the trope shortly.
I think a minor renaming such as you are proposing would not hurt anything. However, I would propose that when you are switching out the wicks, keep the name Origins Issue for the comic book examples.
OK. What about mangas?

What term do manga's use? Use that.
Also, if anyone can think of additional terms for redirects, such as Origins Story Arc, Origins Chapter, etc, it might be useful to add them as options.

Mangas would use "chapter" or "story arc" redirect, then.
OK, I hope I got most of them now.
Anything left to do, or is this closeable?

The current article title ("... Issue") seems to limit the trope to Comic Books. I believe the TV Tropes' medium-neutral term for "a single installment of a serialized work" is "episode". From my standpoint, this article belongs on the Episodes index. Therefore I propose renaming to Origins Episode.
