Ugh, this page's description is painful to read. Way too much butthurt. A neutral description of this character archetype would be much preferred.

I'm not sure what the problem is. It describes a jerk. It needn't be neutral.

The problem is that it seems less like an article and more like someone's personal rant.

We can describe "negative" character types without going into long tirades just fine.

This trope isn't about what jocks are really like - it's about using jocks as antagonists in fiction. I don't see anything that isn't accurate.

And it doesn't complain about the characterization. It just rails on the character, and since you're not supposed to like the character, that's closer to complimenting the characterization.

The only real improvement I can see needed is perhaps making it a little shorter.
