I do want to apologize, again, for the works I mentioned which AREN'T material for the P5 to look at. I'm going back to edit those works out of my post and narrow it down to works that are unquestionably pedo or Excuse Plot / no plot porn.
I'm sorry that I made the mistakes I did, and I understand now... I think? Anyway, going back to edit that post and I want to apologize to everyone. I won't do anything else more toward this effort :)

Then we need a tread to debate and correct claims made in nominations out in public. If an accusation is made in public, we should be able to publically correct it. We shouldn't have to wait until something is already cut the record.

You will be able to debate them when it's time for the P5 to look at them. You can also holler the mods if something is being inaccurately portrayed or someone doesn't seem to get the rules. Or you can PM them, and they can edit it out of their own post. Or both.
Debates on single works turn into debates on policy, and the last thing we need is yet another thread debating the policy.

It's the panel that's making the decision, and they're not idiots best I can tell, and the usual rationales for "accuse in public/retract in public" don't apply here.
Honestly, I'd rather we keep suggesting works we know/have seen or are extremely familar with through Popcultural Osmosis. Otherwise, the page itself may be misleading.

I'd suggest (especially if you haven't read / watched the work in question), to at least refer to multiple reputable secondary sources. I wouldn't use TV Tropes as my sole reference.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.

At least before recommending a work for review or cutlist, right? So the P5 won't have a ton to work with.
Do NOT list whole indexes.
Do NOT list works you know nothing about without at least reading the trope page. If the trope page looks really bad, see point 4 below.
Do NOT just list works with lolicon on the trope list. A lot of times that means nothing more than they have a Law And Order style creep as a bad guy and nothing ever happens on screen. And the guy is treated as creepy to boot. Read the trope page for context.
Do NOT list just because they're labelled H-Game. This genre ranges from heavy fanservice in an otherwise plot heavy game, to actual porn. We only want things on one end of that.
Do NOT list works that you know are G rated but you find them creepy.
Do NOT argue on this thread. Arguments will be thumped.
We need actual well thought out proposals dictating:
- If it's paedoshit approximately how old are the characters involved. What happens. Is it graphic? Is it merely implied?
- List what objectionable content there is, and how much of the work consists of that.
- If it's entirely sex, say so. People have different ideas of what porn is. We all have the same idea of what a work being entirely sex scenes is.
- If you're not sure about a work, say so, or ask someone who does know that work. But don't make blanket accusations. Post here: "I don't know about this work, but the page says X".
- Google and Wikipedia are your friends. Do a little digging on works you aren't sure about.
We need thought out complaints. Not off the cuff accusations. There's a difference between saying "This work's premise seems to involve children in sexual situations and rape as a plot mechanism." and "OMG! NUKE FROM ORBIT! It has the word lolicon in it or on the trope page, therefore it's pedoshit!!"
We're going to have a lot more luck getting the bad stuff out if we actually look at works and don't make blanket condemnations.
That said, better safe than sorry. If it looks skeevy to you, list it here and tell us why.

This thread will become extinct when the new flagging system is in place. The new system will put the flagged page on this page
**. This is the p5 work queue. The panel will vote there and record the disposition of each item as they close it. 'Disposition' means the action they order: cut altogether, cut examples, lock, call for a rewrite and lock... whatever they think would resolve the violation allegation.
