Recommendations for Perusal by 5P:

It should not be general gay cartoon porn. Make it more about the demographic and less about the porn. Not all bara is explicit in any case. It's just works about gay men aimed at actual gay men.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

I feel like I should post a defense for Kiss Players in that it hasn't got actual sex acts in it, just creepy imagery* and censored* nudity. But personally, I don't want it to stay, and I'm afraid to be responsible for a page on such a creepy work.

I think the imagery goes a looooooooong way past creepy.
[up][up] I've seen some of images of that in the spoiler of this link. NSFW

Yeah, it's pretty bad.

[down] At this point, I outright pity them.

Ha ha! The panel has to read that! I don't envy them.

someone
There's very little Kiss Players manga to read, actually. As the article mentions, it's mainly in the format of radio plays. I think some of those [up][up] pictures are from Teletraan 15 Go! Go! Go!, but I'm not sure how creepy that is. It's drawn by the same artist.

[up] Radio plays, huh? ... I have no idea what criteria we judge that on. Unless there's blatant sexual lolita moaning or anything, it's probably only clean worthy. The page also says that the 2nd manga is actually tame.
someone
Yeah, thing is, I don't think the panel can even find the radio plays anywhere. Transformers Wiki considers translations of those to be Holy Grail level rarity. So yeah, there's not much that can really be covered, and we don't have much to go by but the creepy manga scans.

Kiss Players definitely plays to the goddamned lolicons. Or something. I mean, it involves robots raping little girls. That sort of hacks through my defenses and into utter slackjawed perplexity.

By the way, what do we do about the Marquis de Sade's works, and films that were inspired by them? What about Caligula, too?

->"I'm not even kidding. My favorite film of all time is Tinto Brass's Caligula. With a movie that combines the qualities of a lush big budget studio Roman epic period piece, and the kind of exploitation that Joe D'Amato would frequently get sued over, there is no other large scale piece of high quality smut exploitation that I could possibly choose over Bob Guccione's ode to paganism. This is fucking Caligula. A big budget mainstream porno film that screwed its way into worldwide cinemas throughout the late 70s and early 80s. A movie to satisfy the tastes of audiences craving the finest in bestiality, and the finest in Shakespearian actors." —>— Brad Jones

->"'Caligula' is sickening, utterly worthless, shameful trash. If it is not the worst film I have ever seen, that makes it all the more shameful: People with talent allowed themselves to participate in this travesty. Disgusted and unspeakably depressed, I walked out of the film after two hours of its 170-minute length. That was on Saturday night, as a line of hundreds of people stretched down Lincoln Ave., waiting to pay $7.50 apiece to become eyewitnesses to shame. . . . 'Caligula' is not good art, it is not good cinema, and it is not good porn. "This movie, " said the lady at the drinking fountain, "is the worst piece of shit I have ever seen."" —>— Roger Ebert

->"So you see? Don't go see this movie because the lady in front of Roger Ebert at the drinking fountain said that it sucked. And I hold her opinion in high regard." —>— The Cinema Snob, on Roger Ebert's review.

So it is mainstream, isn't it?

bigotry is most often expressed as a desire to punish those who deviate from what's expected of that group.

A bit late, but concerning Negima!: the manga is officially rated 16+ by the American publishers, and I've never seen it shrinkwrapped or anything. Yeah, there's a lot of fanservice, but none of it is explicit and all the nudity is Barbie Doll Anatomy. Not to mention that the nudity is almost entirely of the Naked People Are Funny variety. The only remotely sexual content is innuendo and Not What It Looks Like. The only actual romantic stuff that involves Negi is kissing, and even that is played more for humor than titillation. And as otherwise noted, once you get through the first 2 volumes, the series is way more about the action than the fanservice (even though there is a fair bit of it). And the whole thing is targeted at teens anyway.

[up][up][up] Here are plot descriptions of the radio dramas They don't seem that bad. 19 made me [lol].

[up][up]I remember Fast Eddie saying that Caligula was outright porn, but that'll probably be reviewed.

Love It or Hate It aside, it looks mainstream to me.

[up]Honestly, most of the porn was added by the producer in postproduction. It is entirely possible to remove all of the porn and lose absolutely nothing in terms of narrative.

And while I'm here, I guess I should leave my defense for the Nippon Ichi games, which definitely shouldn't be on the review list:

1. All the games are rated T, and there's no explicit sexual content in any of them. I'm not even sure if there's any implicit sexual content. The worst I can remember are a few characters is Stripperiffic outfits and a few boob-size jokes in the dialogue.

2. The emphasis on the game is heavily on the gameplay, to the point that there aren't really even any cutscenes, and none of the dialogue bits can really be called Fanservice anyway.
I don't know where else to put in defenses- I've been watching Content Violation Reports and Camp Fuck You Die has a porn vote (and nothing else) which is a little baffling.

I was in CFUD for a short time and it's really more of a Slice of Life Crack Fic in roleplay form. Sex is banned in the game proper. Full disclosure- there was a side community where people could play sex, but it was an optional thing that was considered non-canon and I don't know if they imported it to Dreamwidth. Also, while the game's mascot is a tentacle monster, as far as I know no one played out anything explicit with her.

I'm guessing the vote was for the Intentionally Awkward Title, because reading the trope page would make it clear that it's not remotely porn. If anything I'd say rename it to CFUD, since that's what it's usually referred to by anyway.

There are three games under the Livejournal Roleplay index in which sex is a major part of the premise. I haven't played in or watched them, so my information is secondhand (anoncomm gossip type stuff and the trope pages.) It'd be helpful if someone who knows more about them could step in.
  • Amat Omnes of late is known around anoncomm as that sex game where nobody plays out the sex anymore, but was highly controversial among the LJRP community for a long time. As far as I know it was the first sex game to get big, and highly controversial for two reasons. One, the premise is Mate or Die, so there were a lot of people arguing it was a rape game. Two, something to do with minors- I forget if it was minor players lying to get in, or aged-up versions of minor characters being allowed. Either way, the page here is a stub, and because the game content has always been members-only, actually going to look at it would be a problem.
  • I don't know anything about Microcosm other than the plot being something about a sex-based science experiment.
  • I'm not in Bete Noire either, but there are options other than sex, and the trope page hardly mentions the adult aspects.

Edit: That AU comm I mentioned didn't make the jump to Dreamwidth. So yeah, there's nothing to object to about CFUD except the name.

where are people seeing what has what vote? I lost it in the thread.

Here.

[up]Can a mod please put a link to it on one of the OP's so we can find it?

Oh god, the picture for "porn" cracks me up. [lol]

Gonna link it to the OPs of all the threads.
[up]Thank you very much Lu.

[up][up][up][up] Aki Sora, huh? Well, I can't blame P5 for voting against it with chapter 6 and all. That and I'm sure that a few chapters have blatant Shotacon fan service.

[down] It's worse than softcore, but it had a good plot. I have no real reason to defend it though.
