I don't know where else to put in defenses- I've been watching Content Violation Reports and Camp Fuck You Die
has a porn vote (and nothing else) which is a little baffling.
I was in CFUD for a short time and it's really more of a Slice of Life Crack Fic
in roleplay form. Sex is banned
in the game proper. Full disclosure- there was a side community where people could play sex, but it was an optional thing that was considered non-canon and I don't know if they imported it to Dreamwidth. Also, while the game's mascot is a tentacle monster, as far as I know no one played out anything explicit with her.
I'm guessing the vote was for the Intentionally Awkward Title
, because reading the trope page would make it clear that it's not remotely porn. If anything I'd say rename it to CFUD
, since that's what it's usually referred to by anyway.
There are three games under the Livejournal Roleplay
index in which sex is
a major part of the premise. I haven't played in or watched them, so my information is secondhand (anoncomm gossip type stuff and the trope pages.) It'd be helpful if someone who knows more about them could step in.
- Amat Omnes of late is known around anoncomm as that sex game where nobody plays out the sex anymore, but was highly controversial among the LJRP community for a long time. As far as I know it was the first sex game to get big, and highly controversial for two reasons. One, the premise is Mate or Die, so there were a lot of people arguing it was a rape game. Two, something to do with minors- I forget if it was minor players lying to get in, or aged-up versions of minor characters being allowed. Either way, the page here is a stub, and because the game content has always been members-only, actually going to look at it would be a problem.
- I don't know anything about Microcosm other than the plot being something about a sex-based science experiment.
- I'm not in Bete Noire either, but there are options other than sex, and the trope page hardly mentions the adult aspects.
Edit: That AU comm I mentioned didn't make the jump to Dreamwidth. So yeah, there's nothing to object to about CFUD except the name.
