Sniping? Wait, you mean shooting down the defense? Nah. I just had this gut feeling that someone would defend the work. I actually was thinking of defending it myself, though I didn't have any good reasons. At least someone else tried to do it.

Oh, okay.
You know, I can't decide whether I think The Girl Who Lived should come back or not. Admittedly, much of my argument "for" comes down to personal preference because I find the story hilarious, so feel free to ignore me if you want to. That said, it was (presumably) cut due to the gratuitous amounts of underage nudity, and while I'm not denying that exists, the thing is that it's almost never played for titillation, instead being a "Grrl power/I am in control of my own sexuality!" sort of thing. The author was actually offended when it was suggested to him that he was trying to be sexy, and he seemed sincere in his offense. On the other hand, some of the naked characters are really underage (including eleven-year-old Ginny), "Grrl power" does nothing to explain the scene where the girls on the Gryffindor quidditch team scrub each other down in the shower in loving detail, and the author is (supposedly) a middle-aged man, which could be worrying. Like I said, it's P5's call.

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I think that was one that was decided before my appointment to the panel, so I'd prefer not to weigh in unless some of the other panel members feel that they'd be open to changing their votes on a second review.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!""Grrl power" does nothing to explain the scene where the girls on the Gryffindor quidditch team scrub each other down in the shower in loving detail" I think you just answered your own question.
edit: removed strawman.

Yeah, pedo-pandering stuff like that is gonna make sure it never gets restored.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I remember recommending it partially because about half of it is plagiarized and the other half involves a lot of naked preteens. Something to piss off everyone?
@Shadis - Enders Game is not getting cut. Please don't use strawman arguments like that.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.I did not expect it to I also did not mean to strawman that was a mistake I am going to fix now.
I could see some one flagging it for say the shower scene but I don't see it getting cut ever.

Good thing it isn't cutworthy on its own, then, yuh?
Seriously, though, we're not gonna cut Enders Game. We're not machines; we can understand that there's a huge grey area for this sort of thing and act appropriately.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Enders Game is taught at the high school level, ergo, it's not susceptible for cutting.
I had to read it in my Sci-Fi class in High School. BOOYA!
... Then again, you could say the same thing about Neuromancer. Which doesn't deserve to be cut either mind you, but I mean, "I once did a book report on-" probably isn't grounds for automatic exemption.
Oh great, now I'm thinking of kids doing book reports on trashy romance novels as part of those "Let's get out kids to read and reward them for books that they do read!" programs -_-

You had a Sci-Fi class in High School?!
I just realized that the high school exemption means I can FINALLY make that page on The Female Man. YES!
I did have a Sci Fi class in high school.
That teacher was awesome. We were supposed to watch Star Wars in our English class, because it told the classic journey of the hero. But we ran out of time @@
@Largo: why would you have had a problem before?
A brighter future for a darker age. That is so cool.
I don't think there would've been a problem, per se. I just didn't think it was relevant enough to have its own page. I know, No Such Thing As Notability, but I have a weird internal vetting process.
Enders Game was the hardest sci-fi book I've ever read.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Rendezvous With Rama over here.

Listing the "hardest" sci-fi you've read is way off-topic. (Besides, I'll bet none of you have read the Helliconia trilogy yet.)
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Unless it's "hard" Sci-Fi in that sense
?lets save the mods the trouble and stop derailing the thread.
Yes, please.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler. We need a feedback thread on Morenatsu IMO. It's got one devilhead, but from what I can see, the sex scenes are at the end of each route, there's at least the level of plot and character development Sengoku Rance and some of the other V Ns that have gotten a pass have, and the character ages seem indeterminate enough that it's not pedo (at least obviously so, I may be wrong since I haven't played it)
It's not something I'd specifically like, but just because I don't like it doesn't mean we should be rid of it, especially when it seems like it's more of a "romance with sex" as opposed to a bangfest porno.
?
No sniping.
