Squish, which boils down to wine punch mulled with gunpowder. Red wine forms the base, then whatever other wines you can find, the cheaper and more varied the base fruits the better. The gunpowder, however, must be of good quality, only thrice to four-times blessed will do. Can be served hot or over-ice. The story goes that the beverage was invented during a famine, when the juice from rotten fruit was pressed and mixed together in a gunpowder cask.

The Fomori are still nostalgic for the prehistoric days when they ruled Ireland with an iron fist, back before those gods-drowned drylanders drove them back into the sea.

Going out boozing and whoring, due to the strong religious traditions and purity laws of human and dwarf society. However, certain signatories have harem-based families, and the latter is almost expected of them. If you spot someone headed to the Redlight Sectore in a Conspicuous Trenchcoat (brown or grey so as not to tip off the Knights, Green Guards, or Chaplain-Fusilladiers as to which serfdom they belong to), you can bet they're human or dwarf.

[up][up]Do the dwarves have to stand up on one another to fit the coat?

Alesia's Third Era was always marked by a greater level of egalitarianism than the times before. Fantastic Racism is at an all-time low, gender equality is unparalleled, and the LGBT community is universally accepted. The only major issue is that of mixed race offspring, and that isn't even the fault of mortals. You see, back in the First Era the gods conspired to keep their domains a closed loop where technological and societal progress were next to impossible. Since the gods all died after a thousand year long age of hellfire and entropy, this didn't turn out well. One of the methods used was restricting the number of possible mixed race offspring to a pitiful amount. Even in the progressive modern era, there isn't much that can be done to help aspiring couples make a child that is truly of their blood. Thankfully, adoption is always a viable method.

Are there any sapient races that have an affinity towards certain jobs, such as dwarves being engineers, orcs being warriors, and elves being sissies.

[up]first at all, the elves will be the first to point out that dwarves lives in mountain, never have woman and have a thing for jewerly and shiny things....

anyway, the elves are usally hired for their magics(since the sufer less problem that human) and most of the times they are ether artists and storytellers

dwarf have a metodical way to work so they are used in a lot of jobs, and the dakhory(dark elves) use humans for a variaty of jobs

is there any day-to-day use for magic? or is to strange for that?

Hunting is by far the only popular sport all races have in common.

Among humans, central kingdomers play a game very similar to checkers. Vancian Islanders like to carouse, and fight. Bar brawls are a common and accepted part of society. Northerners cockfight.

How diverse is religious belief? In general, how tolerant are cultures of differing beliefs?

While there is only one officially recognized religion, there are several sects of this religion. Orthodox Gunterism teaches that only gunpowder-based firearms can be Ordained, while Progressive Gunterism teaches that any ranged weapon with a stock that doesn't rely on a torsion spring is a gun, and thus Ray Guns and Bioarms can be Ordained. Rayward and Lifeward schisms believe that Rayguns and Bioarms are mutually exclusive (but still compatible with conventional firearms), and adopted one or the other.

It was previously thought that old concepts of the afterlife only applied (e.g. Heaven, Hell, reincarnation, nothingness, etc.), but once the False God Machine was destroyed and the True Gods and The Black Monarchs revealed their existence, those ideas slowly dissipated as everyone eventually found out that your afterlife home was dependent on your deity of choice. Of course, the Vigilantes of The God Machines still believe in the concept of Heaven and Hell, believing that their faith leads them to Heaven and everyone else will burn in Hell.

Gas Mask, Longcoat, jodpur trousers, jackboots, pikelhaube helmets. Minor variations such as lengthened/widened masks to fit over muzzles or oversized lower jaws, ear cowlings, and tail pouches for the Imperial soldiers who need them. Also Powered Armor with a face that looks like a cross between a Combine Soldier's mask and C-3P0's faceplate.

Some Imperial nations (humans, orcks, the church) are patriarchal, others matriarchal (nekomata, kobolds, elves). Others (dwarves, ghouls, UBSR) are egalitarian. It's a roughly equal mix. Aliens have their own cultures, The Swarm is Eusocial with a "males are super valuable" Gender Rarity Value. Vulpitorex are not-so-Scary Dogmatic Aliens with a female dominated harem structure, with each family consisting of 1-3 females and 1-9 males (3 males to 1 female). It's not quite a restrictive Lady Land, but some traditionalists beleive that "men should be kept in the bedroom, naked and [Ready]". Everyone else thinks they're backwards asogynists, roughly equivalent to rednecks. The Klandi and dragons disallow any sociological study of themselves.

In my fantasy setting, there's one answer to that question: Father Sun. Father Sun was an evil god who tried to destroy all mortals but those he deemed Flawless; his actions had horrifying repercussions on everyone, but he was eventually stopped and imprisoned.

Thus, the major memetic Bad Future in-universe is the idea that Father Sun won, or where the damage was even more widespread. Stories surrounding that apocalypse, and dealing with it, make up the majority of the world's Bad Future settings.

On that note...

What memes are truly universal in your setting, even between cultures?

Very much so but it varies depending on where you are.

In Manastra, commoners are promoted to nobility every couples years. On the other hand, nobles are stripped of there nobility even more often. This is usually due to not possessing a title or land to protect. Without either of those, a Manastran nobles are considered just commoners from good families. As a result, titles to lands are in short supply and high demand.

It's quite difficult for Rigoli commoners to become more than a commoner. The best a commoner can hope for is to be hired as a personal servant of a noble. Nobles might be promoted for exemplary service but it's more common to marry into higher positions.

Kirkland will recognize anybody's nobility. For a price. Kirkland is a major center for trade and craft and thus is a place where anybody with the will and skill to become very rich. Or dead. Becoming dead is always a possibility in Kirkland.

If you're an Elf in Wytherwyn, you have a chance, however small, to become a chancellor, second only to the king/queen in authority. The trick is to first ace the civil service exams, play office politics until you're the Prime Archon, virtually right hand man/woman of an existing chancellor, then have said chancellor die so you can assume the position. If you're a human, you're out of luck. At best, you can become a knight for an elf noble but anything less than absolute loyalty to said elf will result in you and you're entire family being executed with fire.

How does your government keep control of the people?
