Gentleman Troper!
Much as I like Buffy, this image is not an example. The trope is about how a villain picks up the note explaining his master plan and accidentally picks up his grocery list instead. This image is simply a checklist of things the villain wants to do (that happens to include both his master plan and groceries).

Special trousers. Very heroic.
Agreed. This is something other than the trope.

Motion to pull

Incorrect trope

Jesus, how long has it been since we've had one of these things?!
Do we have a trope for Villain To Do List?
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.
[up]Probably. If we don't we could make a page and use that image for it.

I can't think of anything good for a signature.

Isn't there a SMBC comic directly on point for this?
Belief or disbelief rests with you.
The article text quite clearly says: another variation is for the villain to kill two birds with one stone and combine the 'mundane' list with the 'take over the world' list to begin with. So the pic would be an example of this variation.

Gentleman Troper!
[up] But the article text is wrong about that: having a shopping list that contains nasty items is the trope Bread Milk Eggs Squick, not this trope.
Special trousers. Very heroic.
So should that part be removed?

That doesn't really illustrate the trope; this is "a character grabs what they think is a list of X and it's actually their grocery list", not "Character has a weird grocery list".
Ah, here we go found it

[up] Single-panel, we'd have to get permission.

Anyone going to pull the pic?

Also, should we limit this to villains? I know that's a TRS thing, but I'm wondering if I got support bringing it up there.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.
[up] Already did. Here's the pulled image.

Gosh, I'm feeling chipper! Who's for a root beer?

If we're okay with being a bit risqué, there's this SMBC comic. The first panel could probably stand alone.
I have a message from another time...

[up] Nah, that's NSFW.

[up] Yeah, that's a little too far over the line for my liking.
I think it's bad, but certainly not NSFW. NSFW isn't any pic that may or may not contain nudity. There's no way that one can be confused for porn.

I'm horrified by the assertion that's NSFW. IMO it's not even close. What the hell.

Don't like it, though. Both panels is the whole thing, and it doesn't work very well cut in half.

NSFW is short for "Not safe for work", i.e., something that you wouldn't want your boss seeing you looking at.

It doesn't have to be hardcore porn to be something like that.

I think the nudity is the issue here - although I don't care about SFW-ness in the slightest, other people may.

[up][up] No. NSFW means something you wouldn't want to be seen with in public. It's not literally about your work or your boss, because there's tons of innocuous things you don't want to be seen with at work. Somebody even clained watching Britaney Spears videos is NSFW because they interpreted it too literally.
"Someone once claimed" isn't really a good argument, though. That pic is something I can show to my boss, under the assumption that I'm on a break, and that I think it was funny enough to share. Or I wouldn't bat an eye at looking at the page in an Internet café.

Anyway, that's sort of off topic. Do we have something to replace the picture with, or do we go imageless?
