Yeah, banjo guy is much more obvious. With the Elfen Lied cover you wouldn't know it was lying unless there was a second part to the picture.
Reaction Image RepositoryElfen Lied is a great example, but making it a proper image would be impossible with all the on-screen gore.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerNudity, disgusting, and has a serious lack of space banjo adventures.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."
Willbyr was Tempting Fate. And it has a NSFW warning, so you should have known of the notoriety. And I wanted to get one from the first chapter. :D
Fandoms are insane.Say what you will; it doesn't excuse the fact that there are no banjos in there!
WHY AREN'T THERE MORE BANJOS!? TELL ME, WHY. AREN'T. THERE. MORE. BANJOS!!?? This manga is absolutely dreadful! I never want to see that thing again!!

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Oh man, the lack of banjos is devastating me. WHERE ARE THE BANJOS?

You guys must be living on another planet if you have never heard of the original song and tried to play a banjo to it. Especially you, lu!
Refuge in Audacity. 'Nuff said.

Fandoms are insane.Personally, I'd rather keep the banjo man on Covers Always Lie and opt for a more "traditional" box art for Phalanx; something like the Super Famicom art◊ (really friggin' tall, though) or the Sharp X68000 cover◊ (a bit faded; looked on GIS for a better one, but it seems everyone took photos of the box art instead of properly scanning it).
Moon◊You know, a game with boxart that is a clear example of this trope shouldn't really have said boxart to illustrate its own page. The point of this trope is that it doesn't, so having it on the work's page can only be to reference this trope, which isn't exactly the purpose of a work page image.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.More to the point, I'm pretty sure that we're officially not allowed to link to NSFW content, so that idea is out. I say leave Banjo Man here and find a different picture for the Phalanx page.

Reaction Image RepositoryThat's a pretty obvious consensus for Mr.Banjo here, so let's be done with the thread already.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I prefer the first one.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Of course, I already suggested the GBA cover art◊ on the last page, but both of those suggestions are better because they don't have as many logos all over them.
I posted this 'cause it sounded like we forgot we already started the Phalanx image hunt.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I hadn't, but I had forgot to mention it.
Moon◊I've retitled the thread, relinked it to Phalanx, and set up a crowner. The SNES image is not a viable option.
Pre-weekend bump for votes, this one's pretty close.
This one's ready to call. The new pic's up and tagged; locking up.

Nominations for replacement images:
Good points...you would need to link some of the violent imagery from the manga in the caption for the Elfen Lied cover to make sense. Great example, poor image.
