>Image of blindfolded guy throwing darts at a board
>"Ban one card for the remainder of the match."
Still, could be better. A LOT better.
EDIT: Forgot about the magic card rule. Pull it.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Aren't we supposed to not use magic cards?
They can be used, but the entire card has to fit the trope.
I agree; Does Not Illustrate. The in-page example explains that it's supposed to be a GM picking what to ban from the game by throwing darts at a board, and the "taped over" image (which is part of the actual card) is merely a lampshade on it.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.That's a Keep Until Better Image Suggested to me.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! While I really don't like card images, Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.@4: the card as a whole does illustrate the trope, in that it allows you, as the player, to make an Obvious Rule Patch in the middle of the game.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! But then there's the ban on Magic cards, and the ban on complete reproduction of copyrighted material without permission*.
Oh, and did we mention that either one of them is an instant pull?

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Please read the Image Pickin' Instructions - there is no such thing as a ban on Magic card images, and the copyright issues explicitly apply to "an entire strip from a (web)comic", which Magic is not.
So no, this is absolutely not an instant pull.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! It is the whole work. It's totally an insta-pull, but don't want to edit war. That is following the letter but not the spirit of the law, the "IP Guidelines" post should probably be edited to be less specific, it's not about comics or webcomics only: "If we have its-the-entire-work images from anywhere, it should be removed."
Nothing to do with it being a Magic card. It is an entire work.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Clock is set.
It's going to stay even though it's an entire work?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Pulled the image again. No way we can use that image. It's the whole card, which is tantamount to using a single-panel cartoon as an image.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I've started discussion with the staff on whether or not the rule extends to them...hopefully it'll resolve sooner rather than later.
Huh, I thought there had long been a rule against them for the same reason as single panel cartoons. Better safe than sorry for now.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Alright, word from on high is that we can use an entire MTG card as a page pic until WOTC actually complains. That being the case, I'm saying Keep Until Better Image Suggested on the current, although I would definitely say that we don't need to take this as carte blanche to start using cards for page pics or to start fighting the rules that are currently in place.
TL;DR: MTG cards are Keep Until Better Image Suggested and not an insta-pull, but finding better pics is preferred.

Cool. I put the image back.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!By way of justification, MTG cards are typically not marketed and sold individually, and as such it may be less than accurate to consider each one an individual "work" for copyrighting purposes.
They're still sort of like single-panel cartoons in a series.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Nevermind, I misread.

We really do need a broader discussion of "it's the entire work" used in its IP context. Compare Wikipedia's stance on fair-use images and fair-use in general.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Wikipedia bases its criteria on its devotion to free content; we base our criteria on what Eddie receives complaints about. In both cases, Fair Use laws permit a broader range of images than the wikis actually use.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Clock's up; locking up since we haven't come up with a replacement pic.
Okay, I'm really, REALLY not seeing how that card illustrates Obvious Rule Patch. Explain?
