So yeah, ANOTHER old game on kickstarter.

Double Fine Adventure and Wasteland 2 has sure inspired lots of stuff. I wonder if this will do as well as Leisure Suit Larry HD remake.

So what to do now?

? It does say for pcs too tongue

A lot of neckbeards are going to barf blood about the PC not being the sole development platform. Especially when it's being developed for tablets, the scourge of video games.

I just put down my money. I'm a fan of the Shadowrun setting ( prior to the creative bloodbath at Catalyst and the new direction [straight down] ), and I like PC RP Gs. What's not to like about this project?

This one intrigues me but I shall withhold judgement.
OH YES YES YES.

I shove money through my computer screen but all I get are electric shocks. But it doesn't matter because this is such excellent news.

Oh right, put $30 in.

I love Kickstarter so...so much.

Huh, at some point Shadowrun was at 76% while Leisure Suit Larry was at 34% tongue I wonder...

Pledge $10, 000 or more

Previous rewards + Mike Mulvihill, who led Shadowrun game development at FASA Corp., will COME TO YOUR TOWN TO RUN A TABLETOP GAME OF SHADOWRUN FOR YOU AND FIVE OF YOUR FRIENDS. (He'll even buy some snacks.)

I wonder does this include outside US or not...
High five or nuke!

There's usually extra fees for outside the US with certain rewards. Best ask.

^^Usually stuff like that has "Only applies to USA" written in them, I guess they forgot it/didn't think non Americans would be interested tongue
So what to do now?
Das kann doch nicht sein!
Odd, considering the popularity of Shadowrun in Germany (hell, for a while time it was even partly owned by a German company, that exist anymore though).

Well, color me interested. I always liked Shadowrun and always wanted a game like that. I like both the Mega Drive and Super Nintendo games (although the latter takes a fuckload of liberties with it), but I'd really like a computer RPG based on it.

@Stevebat 7 days? According to the Kickstarter itself it did it in 28 hours.

Hey, I'll pick up a copy.

Huh I thought the kickstarters were a 30 day limit. 28 hours it is!

The funding period can be set by the project creator up to a maximum of 60 days. It was originally 90 but Kickstarter shortened it claiming that longer projects tended to be less successful.

They showed a pretty strong correlation with the graph, so it makes sense.

And it does make sense in practice too. If game has looong time then it is assumed that it doesn't need to be hurried with. Hence why last day pledging won't be enough.(and it will be most likely by that time overshadowed by newer projects that interests everyone)

Linux version confirmed if game hits the 1M mark which seems inevitable at this point. At first I thought they were backpedaling to extort more money but since they're adding that to the much previously already mentioned stretch goal which they're pretty close to anyway has convinced me that they're being honest.

New video commenting on what they are going to do now. Apparently they are tempted to do "If we get [x] money, we add [x] feature" but won't because they think they already have all features they want, but they will add at 1, 5 million exclusive mission for backers as thank you. But yeah, they are tempted to think what they would do at 2 million if they would get that lucky tongue

Its kind of nice how developer Kickstarters sound so sincere. I mean, they fully admit that they are on bandwagon started by Double Fine Adventure and other stuff you don't really see in pr talk tongue Also kind of heartwarming how backers seem to think mission shouldn't exclusive as that would be unfair for later buyers xD
