I'm a little ashamed that I found that funny.

Didn't find it funny myself. Though this speculation on my part, I think Seth Mac Farlane has reached the crossroad of his career. Based on his cracks in the last Star Wars special, I get the feeling that he no longer wants to be known as just the Family Guy Guy.

I'll admit that I found the gag with the names funny, but considering I never liked Family Guy, I'm not really surprised I don't find this funny. To be honest, it really kinda seems like a really dumb concept too.

Read a review of the script, and then read the script myself.

It's just filled with jokes, both dumb, and some funny. Not much of a plot at all and goes all over the place. Not super good.

Seems really similar to Family Guy, doesn't it? That's the thing with Seth Mac Farlane in my opinion - while I think that he is funny, he is also very repetitive. Just looking at the trailer I don't think that it's going to be anything more than really long episode of Family Guy but where Brian is a teddy bear.

I'm not getting a "Family Guy" vibe off this. Just because it's a talking bear, doesn't mean it's automatically Brian.

Or Roger. Or whatever the fuck the bear is called on Cleveland show.

And just cause Mila Kunis plays a down to earth hot girl who used to be giga-level slutty but wants to settle down.....

And just cause its obvious Mark Wahlberg plays an idiot way under Mila Kunis's league....

Actually, he seems more like Peter than anything. Especially since he uses the Peter voice for Ted.

*sigh* Oh Mark Wahlberg. You used to be cool. It's been downhill ever since you stopped being Marky Mark.

I don't think anyon was accusing Mc Farlane of being original when he came up with family guy. I'm accusing him of using the same damn pattern for everything he does.

"Yea, because the loser that scores the hot chick is entirely a Family Guy idea. As well as the animal side kick."

When it becomes a repetitive trope in all of his works, then yeah the cliche-ness starts to stick out.

^^While yes, in his animated stuff it's tiring. But we've seen it so many times in other films that it has no effect on me. At least there's no baby that acts like an adult.

Yeah, the interactions between that dude and the bear just seem like typical snark between Stewie and Brian. But since it's pretty easy to make me laugh, I found that funny.

Patrick Stewart too, huh?

If I go to see this I'm going to take in a flask of vodka or three and make it a Seth Mac Farlane drinking game.

Seth McFarlane is the kind of visionary that Zack Snyder is.

I will let that sentence speak for itself.

Alright, I'll admit, that looked ever so slightly better. I get a bit of an impression that Ted is more rationalised than any of the other non-human sidekicks - almost serving as a kind of deconstruction of them.

But that may just be me hoping theres something worthwhile in this thing.
