I love you.
They'll probably have a bunch of old shows mixed in with a few new ones. Most people are kinda expecting a nostalgiafest.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.@ Shota: I see.
@ Beta: I like nostalgia as much as the next guy, but I'd rather see more new stuff than old. How many times can I watch The Big O or FLCL without losing some interest? The block would most likely stagnate eventually if it went that way. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be some older goodies for the original fans, but you could easily rotate those shows in and out while cultivating new properties at the same time.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadIf they want new shows, give them several months. Acquisitions take a looooong time to get!

[[{{People Like Naruto Remember?}}Possibly Naruto Shippuden since Disney's all but abandoned it, apparently.]]
>Inb4 someone calls me a filthy casual as if this were /a/.
I'd rather there be new shows too, but they're probably going to try appeal to people's sense of nostalgia first and foremost.
Don't worry, we're more like /co/: full of love and acceptance. All we need is seven different Korra threads on the first page and we'll be exactly alike.

You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.Soul Eater and Young Justice need to be on there.
Torquey already suggested Soul Eater. As for the latter, while I have nothing against cartoons being shown on Toonami (or at least, not to a point that it overshadows the anime), the fact that Toonami is seen and remembered more as an anime block would probably give some reason to complain about, well, a cartoon series between shown on Toonami. More so, YJ is perfectly fine where it is on the DC Nation block. There's really no need for it to hop.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI'm hoping to see the good dub of One Piece. You know, the one that uses the actual opening sequence. Other than that, I'm just hoping to see something I've never seen before. Ideally, something I've never even heard of.
Oh, and Casshern Sins, because I think more people need to see that.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI've heard talk of Megas XLR reboot, so that's definitely a thing I can see on the new Toonami.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.Reboot? But they never even finished the old one!
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Ooh, if they did the Megas thing, they should run it and TTGL back to back.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireToonami is really coming back?!
MY BODY IS READY.
I can't wait to see what shows they're going to put on the block. I hope we get some new shows, as well as old ones like "Outlaw Star" and "Yu Yu Hakusho".
Man, the TOM rerender is friggin' sweet.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I feel like I know you, at least 3 people I know in school say that all the time!
yes, yes it is. Glad they're using that tom and not the one with a face.

I'm baaaaaaack8D I wonder if we'll be getting back some Toonami classics like Naruto, YYH, and PPG!
For anyone not on the other thread, here's a word on their programming for the block.
That last one is more "Cartoon Cartoon" (which, granted, is a classic for most kids growing up in the 90s) than "Toonami classic", though.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadEven so, you could say the same about YYH being an Adult Swim-first Shonen Jump classic instead. Besides, PPG is just as BA.
The relevant bit of that link:
TOONAMI - Beginning Saturday, May 26, Adult Swim brings back Toonami, the network's popular block of anime programming. Airing weekly from midnight to 6 a.m. (ET/PT), in addition to the return of previous series featured in Toonami, Adult Swim is also developing new original anime programming for fans.
Big O season 3?

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI am personally hoping that this will be an excuse for SOMEBODY (pretty please, Funimation?) to license Digimon Xros Wars, dub it, and air it on Toonami.
...I can dream, can't I?

Ooh! Dub the next few Case Closed movies, plz!
If Funimation actually gets off of their asses and dubs the rest of Case Closed for this, I will be SO very happy. I'd even accept (and encourage, actually) a redub.
The only ones who need redubbing are Kogoro/Richard and the 3 other Detective Boys.
I want the classics plus Tiger And Bunny
