Toonami is back! :

Not sure if this is a one time thing, or not, but Toonami has been added to the Adult Swim for it's Saturday Night Anime Black.

1 Year later and Toonami is going strong. To better keep from getting lost in the clutter, users have started to post in an IRC during the airings. If you'd like to join in just follow the very simple instructions:

Go to Sorcery.net here and input "#tvtropestoonami" into the channel section and bam.

Tell me again in a week and I'll be more inclined to take this seriously.

I got excited then I realized the date.

So Totally a Gundam!-!-!-!-!
Cartoon Network are bastards, aren't they?
In other news, I'm always right. But so are you, as long as you agree with me.
Not sure if this is Adult Swim just being trolls again because it's April 1st, but I'm hoping this is permanent.
'!'
[up]It's April 1st, what do you think? <_<

I don't care if it is a prank, I'm just glad they did something other than rerun The Room again tongue
( so come and skate with me. just a rebel, looking for a place to be. )
[up]The day is still young. They may end up doing the Room tomorrow.

That said, If Adultswim can turn The Room into an annual tradition they can make this permanent if they really wanted to. <_<

[up]They also had a year where they played fart sounds over anime. What's your point?

CN, I like you guys, even though these last few years have been shaky, I still watch your channel all the time, hell, Adventure Time, Regular Show, and your DC Nation block are some of my favorite things on TV right now.....

...but if this is just a troll,    I WILL CURSE YOU TILL THE DAY I DIE.

OTOH, didn't they have to renew the rights for at least Tenchi Muyo! and maybe Gundam Wing for this? I think it's a pointlessly expensive stunt to renew the licenses only to show the series a single day.

I'm still dreading they'll cut to The Room.

Hahaha they did a Mass Effect 3 review.

And one of the few honest reviews of it ever.

"They also had a year where they played fart sounds over anime. What's your point?"

That they're dropping a lot of money just for a one time. Making fart noises are definitely a lot cheaper than buying the rights to several shows only to show them once.
'!'
Even though this is obviously an April Fools day thing, might as well watch it to show there's still interest in this shit.

I'm honestly in tears right now. They are taking this way too seriously for it to be a prank.

Maybe the return of the block itself is a joke, but the re-acquired series still can be fit into [adult swim] otherwise?

CN has absolutely NOTHING to lose by bringing back old Toonami back.

They'd get so much of our demographic back.

[insert quip here]
I'm not getting my hopes up for a revival, but this is the best and the most elaborate April Fools Joke ever conceived.
A poem by Kenshiro: Roses are red / Violets are blue / Omae wa mo / Shindeiru.
'!'
[up]Maybe their rights never expired or something. If you want to keep up hope, I suggest getting as many people to watch it.

Honestly, I'd love to see new shows brought onto a new Toonami. Like say Tiger & Bunny.

Altogether Ooky
Y'know what I think?

This is probably an April Fools bit - "haha, you thought you were getting your old lineup, but instead you're getting something awesome!"

But, I see no reason why if this succeeds this wouldn't keep going on. Especially if the gag is "we're changing the lineup from now on" and not "we're changing the lineup for today."

The Mass Effect 3 review - brand new content - makes me think if they decide they could get ratings off of it - which they will - they'll keep at it.
