...I've seen a number around the place, but I'm not sure if they'll pop by. Who knows?

Well, yes. But hearing me talk you'd think I was American.

Yes, this actually happens. My Primary and Secondary School classmates hear me talk and they ask me if I'm from America. XD

That and my Chinese sucks. TT_TT

I'm Chinese, too. And sometimes I still slip into American English, even though I was born here and have lived in Australia since I was six, when my family came back.

Yeah, but with me, American English is pretty much my default language and accent. Apparently it's because my parents taught me English as a kid with a lot of CD's and stuff from America.

That, and I watched a crap-ton of cartoons growing up, so.....

I know the feeling. Growing up, everyone always thought I spoke with an American accent. Then I met people who'd actually heard Americans talk, and then they told me it wasn't an American accent. So people thought I spoke with a British accent. And then I met people who'd actually heard British people speaking, and then they told me it wasn't a British accent either. And then I got older and discovered that there's no such thing as a pure "American" or "British" accent either.

As for what I sound like? We gave up and labelled it as What the Hell Is That Accent?

*...FAKE-OUT*

...Why are the only Singaporeans on this site a bunch of chiak kantang jokers?tongue

(For the record, there used to be a few others around, but they've either moved on or are hiding in embarrassment from my antics. Or something like that.)

I've been away from TV Tropes for more than a year now, and decided to check in. Look, I found a Singaporean Troper coven! I'm from Singapore too.

I'm currently living in Singapore, but isn't exactly Singaporean. Does that count?

[up][up]Polytechnic, huh? I was first accepted in the Game Design Diploma when I got into my current Polytechnic, but later appealed to a different course.
