This is factionalism at its worst. Madrugada's suggestion sounds fair, although I won't miss them if they're removed.
Can you imagine how the complainers would react though? I imagine it will be... amusing.

Made a blank crowner here.
For reference, you need http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/crowner_create_subject.php?desc=<Crowner type>&subject=<Topic>, fill in the crowner type and the topic in the URL, and you should get to the create crowner page - I've linked them on my troper page for convenience*
For filled crowners only. Blank ones need the crowner URL
I detect painful irony. The common complaint I see there is that the wiki is moving away from what it was... but all of that ridiculous complaining and bile is clearly against the stated goal of the wiki. Myopic fandom at its worst. I suppose it's true - you do end up becoming what you hate.
Seeing as those pages are about names, complaining about anything even though unrelated, is out of the question. Even if you espouse the FORKS philosophy, what does your opinion on the mods or Fast Eddie or gushing have anything to do with your belief on names? Methinks we need a lock.
Yes, he's very cute, and he'll also be made into pork chops, coppa, zampone, nduja, and all sorts of tasty things when he gets a lot bigger and not so cute.
I suppose clean and lock could work. Does that make the factions closed clubs? I certainly don't want to join any of them, just wondering.

No, don't eat it!
If the current leading option passes, I think it goes without saying that comments will be removed, right?

Some of the cutlery pages have been shown to attract vitriol. What would be the best way to fix this?
Note: Not all options below are mutually exclusive, but some are. Please exercise judgment
44 (yeas:54 nays:10) 5.40 : 1
Consolidate all cutlery factions in a single Just For Fun page containing only the name, the expanded acronym, a brief statement of the position. (No member list) Essentially, redirect the names to the TABLE page.
9 (yeas:36 nays:27) 1.33 : 1
Consolidate all cutlery factions in a single Just for Fun page containing only the name, the expanded acronym, a brief statement of the position, and the list of members — names only, no commentary.
