Got lucky and unlocked the secret ship last night. The secret race is ludicrously effective at boarding thanks to their Lockdown power... and the Type B of their ship has a 2x2 teleporter room!
Just when you thought a game like this couldn't have a The Dev Team Thinks of Everything moment, this lucky bastard proves us wrong.
Yeah, lasers and missiles can destroy each other, thats why defense drones tend to sometimes disappear
I knew that for ages, I would accidentally shoot down my defense drones.
But the boss also shot down a missile by accident the first time I got there, and it would be fair to say I was pissed.

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.One time, when I was fighting the last boss, I fired 3 shots at its missile system. Just as they were about to hit, its missiles launched, and all three blew up as they hit my lasers. I was almost as stunned as that guy.
That happened to me too, although it was laser shot, not missile...
Give me cute or give me...something?- Finally* got the last two ships. Mantis Cruiser was giving me a huge fit. . . and I get it unexpectedly in the same game as I got the Crystal Cruiser. Which, btw, I really like. It has a great early game armament, and even into the late game the Light Crystal Launcher is still decent.
YES! Beat the game on normal! (also has reloader and scrap recovery as aug, and Artemis on storage)...turns out 2 Burst Laser mk 2 and Hull Laser mk 1 can easily strip even final boss' shield, so missiles (and fire bomb I bought just in case) are superfluous (I bought the bomb initially for anticipation of fighting against ships with defense drone, turns out I only face one of em outside of final boss, and it only got 2 shield so I just shoot it with my single burst laser until it dies, although I use the bomb to disable the boss missile room a bit)...also lost 2 Qs to events...
And...FUCK I GOT THE CRYSTAL CREW, get to the rock homeworld as sector 7, AND CANNOT FIND THE DAMN GATE!!! WHY!!!

I can't ever seem to break the bosses tank. never disabled a room, nevermind gotten past the first form

Does warp gate look like something on map? Like, does it look like enviromental hazard symbol that asteroid fields and folar flares and those ionic storms have?

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.You get most of them from homeworld of races when you have member of race with you. With exception of at least two. For example, Zoltan Cruiser requires you to follow the hint. Aka, when you trigger the quest, avoid conflict and try for peaceful solution.

Just picked this up yesterday, had seen some L Ps of it and it looked good. I just played the tutorial, and I can see why the soundtrack is sold separately...
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenOk, after almost a week of owning it, finally got around to playing a decent amount. Made it to the final sector, but was destroyed. My favorite ship is the Stealth Ship, don't really know why. Maybe cause it comes with all the tech, and minimal crew requirements?
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI hate the Stealth Ship. Early game you get damaged far too easily and late game you miss a weapon slot. There simply seem to be no redeeming features for the heavy disadvantages imo.
If you play well, you don't get damaged. I have shields, a teleport, and beat-crew of boarders, only my weapons are not up to speed.

The Kestrel is just really well rounded out, the Mantis Cruiser excels at boarding (especially Type 2), the Engi Cruiser has place for 3 drones, the Federation Cruiser has the Wave Motion Beam, the Slug Ship has... something, it's a bit weird and the Zoltan have the Zoltan Shield. What does the Stealth Ship have that other ships don't?
Cloaky. Which isn't a great answer, I admit.
Nous restons ici.Which is something any ship can get at some point and then there is no difference between the Stealth Ship and Random Cruiser other than the missing weapon slot.
The advantage from the Stealth Ship is that it starts with cloacking and two augments, the stealth weapons one and the advanced sensors augment. Not necesarilly a great advantage.

Oh yeah, from what I read a bit, the Feddie Cruiser (at least the Osprey one) definitely cannot use cloak...
