I'm not sure it's worth salvaging, myself.
A brighter future for a darker age.
I think this one can be saved. We just need to be REALLY CLEAR about what it means, because even I was confused about what this one was about the first time I saw it. It has to be something where Popculture Osmosis leads to people primarily only knowing about "that one scene" in the movie even if they've never seen it. Like, everybody knows about the lady from Total Recall without ever having seen it. If we have to, then getting rid of the examples section is fine, but I think this happen often enough that it deserves a description here.

More pluck than an Alabama banjo festival
All There Is to Know About "The Crying Game" for fanservice instead of spoilers? Hmm, I just don't know.
How about for the title: "Everyone remembers the Fanservice"? Also, the definition should be narrowed to "Fanservice is the most memorable thing about the work, but it was unintentional, and clouds the work's intended most memorable thing" If Fanservice was intended to be the memorable thing, it shouldn't be an example of this trope

This matches the page's current use better than its current title. Right now, the page (and Signature Scene) is about the scene that people associate with the film, regardless of whether they actually saw the film. Renaming that way may create a more accurate title, but it will appear even more of an invitation for people to misuse it for "fanservice that I remember. Also, we no longer collect examples of Crowning Moment of Awesome, the name's now a redirect for Awesome Moments.
Keeper of Porn
I would support a rename to Everybody Remembers The Fanservice.
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn.
Oh, that is good. I hadn't seen Signature Scene before, but Signature Scene is clearly what this trope is meant to be. A plausible subtrope of Signature Scene would be something like Signature Sexy Scene, which is any scene involving sexy material. We could turn the current page into that, by removing all the examples that are merely "some scene that some troper found sexy".
Special trousers. Very heroic.
pawsplay nailed it. I have always considered this trope to be All There Is to Know About "The Crying Game" / It Was His Sled* for fanservice instead of spoilers. Prime examples: Wild Things, Basic Instinct, Total Recall.
- I know those two are not identical, but it's fair enough to merge here, especially since the distinction is YMMV anyway. For instance, Wild Things is the former, since people forget there's actually a pretty fun twisty murder mystery after the boobs. But Total Recall is probably the latter, since it is known for some other Ahnold-isms and scenes aside from just the triple-breasted whore of Mars.
Bumpity. Given that the trope seems mostly to be "The show is far better known for its sex(y) stuff than anything else", should it be renamed to reflect that?
I'm not sure what to do. I can see this page getting a lot of misuse no matter what we call it.
Crowner glued to thread.
Regardless of the result, I think the trope should be specified as such: The most remembered thing did not intended to be that way. If fanservice is intended to be the most memorable thing, than it's not this trope. All porn and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition both don't count.

In which case, something like that would instead be They Plotted a Perfectly Good Waste
Calling crowner in favor of: Super Trope and send it through YKTTW. Names for the current trope (which will just focus on T&A) need to be brainstormed.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.
Should this trope, whatever the name, be:
- A. any instance of memorable fanservice
- B. Memorable Fanservice that is unintended
the flies will find you
OTOH it would feel weird to not include Basic Instinct, one of the (if not the) most triumphant examples (and very calculated), but OTOH that would open the door to works which are simply fanservice with excuse plot (and obvious about their priorities). And OTOH again it's going to be a small hell trying to tell apart creator motivations. That way lies madness.
before the darkness arrives
Calling crowner in favor of Best Known for the Fanservice
What's the status on this one?
Well it's been renamed, and there was some examples cleanup back in March, so we might be done.
295 wicks and a supertrope to this trope left to be done here.
