The Bieber reference is intentional, huh? Time to add this to the character sheet then.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.I checked the main page Strawberry Shortcake page... 3 wikis, one of which covers the 2009 version. If they were going for each series, fine, but the other two I'm uncertain on.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.I didn't know the 2003 series was legally available to watch on youtube. I only saw a few episodes on syndication and actually watched them (Albeit in private). The songs do tend to be on sacchrine side at times.
I also tried to watch some episodes of Berry Bitty Adventures. Eh... nothing about it seems memorable. If anything, it barely kept my attention for more than a few minutes.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.I've given up on the latest series. I've come to the conclusion that it's an In Name Only adaption. It hardly retains any of the characteristics of the earlier series.
What are your favorite songs from this show? I really like this one for some reason:

"Back Together," "Holidayland," "The Gift of Friendship," "How a Garden Grows" "I'll Treasure You," and "Sailing Toward Tomorrow."

I had to stop at year 4. I just didn't like most of the character redesigns, though Strawberry and Orange were decent enough. Plus the pets except Custard and Pupcake are gone, I'm not sure if the villians were needed, and Honey Pie Pony left to Ice Cream Island.
The 2009 series clearly has it's fans, as it gets as many views as the 2003 series. With that said, I wonder if the next reboot will pull off a vibe similar to My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. Also, I hope they bring back some characters and not downplay characters with sweets. I want someone like Ginger Snap again.
I also tried to watch one of the 80's specials, in particular, the Wonderful World of Strawberry Shortcake. I can't get past how dated it looks and I was annoyed how Strawberry would stop to pet Custard every ten seconds in the intro. We get it, she likes her cat. I stopped after 5 minutes in.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied. The 2007 changes weren't totally awful, but yeah, on the whole, I didn't care for them much. The show never really needed a villain, and I wasn't really feeling the redesigns and other changes.
I've started a liveblog covering all of the 3 incarnations and I just finished up the 1980's specials. I'm just going to say they haven't aged well and leave it at that.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Sorry for the 4-year-old bump, but this franchise and 80% of Peanuts now belong to DHX Media. http://www.cbr.com/peanuts-strawberry-shortcake-teletubbies-sold/
The Protomen enhanced my life.So anyone following Berry in the Big City? Cute and fun series so far. Playlist it with the DC Super Hero Girls episodes for easier viewing convenience.
And I organized the first season in the order the episodes played on Netflix.

I suspect the reason has to do with the toys. I think this generation they wanted to focus on playsets, so the characters are represented by tiny figurines instead of dolls. Them being bug-sized in the show might just be way of lampshading that.
