Just take (innocent) Pillow Fight to YKTTW. We can do the name swaps later. Sexy Pillow Fight seems to have enough examples to not need extensive YKTTW, just sorting. I'll take it there.

Ah, alright I kind of figured I had to do Innocent Pillow Fight anyway. YKTTW won't be submitted until I finish doing the rest of my homework, which will probably in the evening or so.

Sorry for triple posting, but I was told that Pillow Fight is broader than it's name implies.

The description says it also includes volleyball and other contests. The last line if itactually involves pillows, so the trope isn't really focused on that So does it need broader name? The crowner says we should narrow to just pillow fights and create a new supertrope for titillating involving women. Once we rename Pillow Fight, can we trope tranplant the name for Innocent Pillo Fight?

Yes, you can trope transpant the name for the innocent version.

Now, what to name the sexy contest version is the issue.

Wow, the examples are awful. Lack of context abounds.

We need to find a name for "Titillating contest involving women". Any suggestions?

[up]Hey, why just restrict it to 'involving women'?

What's precedent ever done for us?

[up]Because if it involves men it gets labelled Fan Disservice. Seen way too many of those potholes... </complaining>

On a more serious side, for men it tends to be more serious, like actual duels of honour and stuff, rather than a giggly pillow fight. On the other hand, I do recall seeing several water fights involving handsome men... Series like Baywatch, while more famous for the women, certainly had a lot of good looking hunks, and played them up for all the fanservice they could muster. Which probably included scenes that would fit under this trope.

I can't speak for anybody else, but I haven't seen a male version. When there's a fight involving guys, it will usually be serious, unless it's some romance spar.

Also, the page is horrible since it only talks about regular pillow fights.

Anyway, a name. Does Fanservice Playtime work? Or reverse word order?

I haven't seen this trope with a male version, but I have seen a few male fights played for fanservice—a gender-flipped Cat Fight, if you will.

Sure, there's not likely to be many (if any) male examples, but that's no reason to restrict the trope right off the bat, ja?

As I mentioned, I have seen a male version (it may or may not have involved a woman or two). More specifically, I think it was one of those Car Wash Water Fights you see every now and then, which I would say definitely fit under the trope.

[up][up] Nobody tried to restrict anything. It's how the page is defined right now. I'm working with what I have in hand. It's no big deal if we take that bit out, though. All we have to do is note that it's more common with women.

[up]Well, you could say that the page creators decided to restrict it. I was just suggesting a broadening. Still, looks like we're on the same page, oui?

Sure, why not. Gender isn't necessary in the name anyway.

Let's find a good name!

Eye Candy Contest sort of nags me because it reminds me of Beauty Contest, but regardless, something with Eye Candy will do. Eye Candy Fight?

Also, the examples are nothing but Pillow Fights. -__-

Maybe we should run a parallel version through YKTTW to gather examples of other types of such contests?

A re YKTTW sounds like it should work. Should probably mention it's a good chance for an instance of Eating the Eye Candy.

Well, Childish Pillow Fight has been launched already and I'm in the process of cross wicking it. As for Eye Candy Fight, it's still in the YKTTW.
