The PlayStation 2:
I AM NOT A TREEAnybody else still have and/or play this bad boy? Or have memories of it? I still have mine, it's my primary non-handheld console other than my Wii. Just today, I picked up pre-owned copies of Shadow of the Colossus, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Persona 3: FES, and Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection.
NO TREE FOR ME (ALSO LOVES HER BOYFRIEND)
I still play mine. I binged on Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and was playing Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando yesterday. It's more difficult than I remember it being. >.<
wobbledewopple wob wopplI had one that mysteriously disappeared, and got a new one as a Christmas present this year. I love playing Crash Bandicoot on it, as one flaw of the PS3 is you can't play PS2 games on it.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.
I bought one used when the PS3 came out. I've been enjoying myself with cheap used and mint classics on sale since then. Like the OP, I recently found Persona 3 FES, and also the Digital Devil Saga-games and Persona 4. It's an excellent console.
El CidI still play mine, for sure... I still feel it has more solid RP Gs than the PS3 and I don't own an Xbox 360 or Wii. I fire it up for games like Kingdom Hearts, Xenosaga, Wild AR Ms 4/5, Final Fantasy X/X-2/12, Shadow Hearts 2, etc.
World's Best Powered ArmorI still play my PS2, but not that often. In fact, right now I only play Digimon World 2, a PS1 game, on it. But sometimes I'll break out the Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, Dynasty Warriors 5, Drakengard 2, or Metal Gear Solid 2, along with others. Yeah, I still got all my games, save for a few that I gave to my cousins in Peru. I actually miss DBZ: Budokai for some reason.
Artificer-In-TrainingI use it for Kingdom Hearts and SW: Battlefront, mostly.
Modern: Urza Tron, Living End, UR Delver
Hearthstone: Miracle Rogue, Murlocs
The Chew Toy of GamingI've got two of 'em, both Slim. Though, I only use them when my backwards-compatible PS3 can't suffice. Or when I feel like using my memory cards.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.
I've kept mine for Kingdom Hearts. Bought it just for Kingdom Hearts, too.
O_OHere, just about everyone has one. If you're within the ages of 10-25, you have a PS2. And it's jailbroken, you have a million games in a folder but you only play Pro Evo. Except for me, though I wouldn't mind getting one. Mostly for Ace Combat 04, 5 and Zero.

You avoided the last two pages... so you could hit on my sandwich.- Slendid Suit
I've had one for the LONGEST time. As in, until three years after the 360/PS3 came out. It did its job during all those years. There's actually two games on it I'd still love to play today: DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Megaman X Collection.
Devil May Cry 1, I have DMC 2 but I didn't like it as much. And for some reason I can't find a copy of Castlevania Curse Of Darkness, I rented it once for my old Xbox and I really liked it. Maybe someday I'll be able to play it emulated (If I upgrade my computer that is) or on my PS2.
Coin OperatorYou know, it says something about how good the Playstation 2 actually is when Sony is still manufacturing and marketing it, despite the Vita and the PS3. There's still a demand for the thing, and there's even a few smaller developers making games for it.
PS2 was easily one of if not the greatest systems in existence. The library was amazing, literally something for everyone, and for the most part plenty of it.
Easy street has no parking signs.
War ALWAYS changes. Man does not.I actually have two of them. One is a black euro-PAL I box, the other is a silver NTSC-UC one. I only bought the latter so I could play American import rpgs.
A man of few words.I enjoyed beating the crap out of hookers after fucking them in San Andreas. Kingdom Hearts was great too, but I especially liked the Street Fighter collection. Had every version of SFII one could want, and had a great controller for it.
Feel free to vandalize me.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
