That feels like they rolled the Vaulters in with the UE. I can live with that. If I want my Vaulting goodness, I can just go reinstall the original.

Okay, I did the mega-quest again and actually paid attention to the quest text this time. The leader of the Academy (who's the guy in the trailer), is confirmed to be the Vodyani Heretic.
Also, the events of the mega-quest are pretty much the trailer, which is kind of amusing. It's a very interesting idea, but the mechanical rewards for it are kind of weak. On the other hand, it does unlock a special ending cutscene for each race (two variations I assume, based on your choices).

Apparently you don't even need to finish the quest to get the cutscene. You just need to get to the part where you make a choice.

So should we create a new character page for Endless Space 2 or update the one of the first game with possible subsections labeled like "Tropes that apply in the sequel"? I'd also like to ask the same question about pages for funny moments and such. I know I laughed when one the Sophon ithe faction selection screen said "Let's blow stuff up -I mean let's do science!" And some of the in-game art is pretty funny. I don't have the game yet so i don't know if I'll be able to provide much information for the pages until i get it but this game definetly needs more wiki magic love.

It's a reboot, so even for the returning Factions some of the older tropes may not apply. For example, the United Empire now include some of the other human factions like Sheradyn and Mezari within it.

Well, I'm sure it will get better if everybody who's interested chips in. I'll try to get more involved once I get the game (which will be at june 20th as that's my birthday) but it would be nice if some of those who already have it could start a character page and lay the groundwork, so to speak.

So just to check, are Endless Space 2 and Endless Legend finished development or is Amplitude still continuing to do content for both of those games?

As far as I'm aware Endless Space 2 has joined Legend in completion, yes. Endless Day is up right now but there hasn't been a patch for a while.
I don't like the Vaulters, actually. I always thought they were kind of stupid.
In unrelated news, the UE quest now actually changes your pops to one of three different factions after a certain point. So you can choose to become a science faction or whatever.
