Waaaaait.
This page assumes that the normal reaction to getting rich is "behaving like an asshole", and describes the aversion to that. Unfortunately, neither "rich" nor "asshole" means "luxury", so the name doesn't work.
Basically, this is Aversion Of Becoming Rich Makes You A Jerk.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! All of this. I don't see how this is a trope (if anything, it's an aversion of Rich People Are Jerks or some trope like that), and the name doesn't even hint at what it means.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdI read it as avoiding looking and/or acting rich, like a wealth version of Modest Royalty.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Clocking as was requested.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffI don't see a trope in this. It's just getting rich and not becoming an asshole.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.A good test to see if a page would (not) be a decent trope, in my mind, is "if this page had a Real Life section, would it end up overtaking the page?" In this case, it probably would. That and it's not flexible: if you can't play with it, it's not a trope.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.What about: A. Rich person who lives and acts poor, and B: Poor person who lives like a rich person. Both examples, in my opinion. Also, does a All Rich People Are Jerks trope already exist? If not, and this trope is cut, that may need to be made.

Both are examples of a different trope. Yes, that's what you might expect from a name like Luxury Dissonance, but it's not what the page is about.
We don't seem to have a page for Rich Jerk or something like that, and it would be a good idea to create one (regardless of whether this page ends up cut or not).
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! We have Rich Bitch missing the genderflip though.
NVM it has the Rich Bastard redirect.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Calling crowner in favor of cutting.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Removed the wicks, made the note on discussion and cutlisted this.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPage was cut, so lock-hollering it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
Crown Description:
The page is for "rich people that don't behave like jerks". There is disagreement on whether that's a trope.
Been around for over a year, and has 5 wicks and 1 inbound.
Well this does comes from a lack of effort in spreading the trope (which will have to be fixed no matter what else happens), but I also think the name is a problem. It looks too broad. The "dissonance" could be many things, like something could look more luxurious than it's worse, or the degrees of luxury different people have.
