According to the Laconic, the Spear Carrier is a character who "shows up, says a line, then is never seen again." However, the image fails to show the trope. It's just a few amazed faces. The caption doesn't help either. It simply doesn't help someone understand the trope any better. May I ask for a new image? Perhaps it can be a short comic, showing a man walking in, saying a few lines, and then walking out. The caption could read "And he was never seen again in the rest of the story" or something along those lines.
