Gotta love the fanwanking in the comments.

Not sure how I feel about this. Sounds cool but 60 bucks for an SNES game? Nahh...

Depends on how good it is.

I'd pay 60 bucks just for the sheer ability to say "I have a SNES game made in 2013."

I mean, I have a working SNES, so why not?

...I wonder if this'll wind up on the Virtual Console.

And I'm wondering how the heck I'll get my hands on the game. I rather doubt I'll be able to go into a Best Buy and find a shelf for that one game, or find it hidden among the Wii titles.

How many people are going to pay $60 for a game they only know the title of?

They know the genre, at least. Though I think I'll wait to see a bit of gameplay before paying for it.

Well a Gunstar Heroes-like game for the SNES would be cool.

It could also end up being like Contra or Mega Man. Run and Gun is a pretty broad genre.

Wait, no. Contra is basically like Gunstar Heroes without life bars. Er, the other way around. Whatever.

Still, not an easy genre to mess up, so I'm expecting good things.

[spergin']

Homebrew physical games have been released for the Genesis, Neo-Geo, Jaguar, Dreamcast (a ridiculous lot of it infact) and maaany other consoles before. What's really surprising is that someone didn't try to cash in on the SNES worship sooner.

Super Fighter Team is not really "developing" the game; Nightmare Busters is a game that was completed in 1995 but the publisher dropped it and it never got released. The rom was dumped and you can find playthroughs of it and everything. Presumably they're aiming for the hardcore collectors that'd want to own a physical copy.

I don't even care if the game sucks, I'm getting it just so I can say "Yeah, here are my SNES games, this was made in 1992, this was made in 1990, and this one was made in 2013."
