Looks like a supertrope to Infinity +1 Sword (which is a videogame trope)?
Calling someone a pedant is an automatic Insult Backfire. Real pedants will be flattered.*looking at description* No, it's just Mary Sue applied to a weapon instead of a character.
Rhymes with "Protracted."From the description:
Despite protestations otherwise, this is currently written as a page to complain about Excaliburs you don't like.

Maybe if the Sue stuff was filed off. Do It All Item might work.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyThis is clearly in the need of a better name. And I am not sure if we need something like Mary Sue Item, Do It All Item has the advantage of being less Snowclony, especially minding the fact that this isn't something like "Item in Super mode"
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe already have Swiss-Army Weapon. And Impossibly Cool Weapon. Changing opinion to "cut".
Calling someone a pedant is an automatic Insult Backfire. Real pedants will be flattered.@^: Neither Impossibly Cool Weapon nor Swiss-Army Weapon overlap with a Mary Sue weapon, which is what this is. And it's items, not weapons. @OP: I'd say that Mary Sue Item would be a valid application of Mary Sue*, but I'm not sure we need another Mary Sue.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYes, but it's pretty clear we don't need "a Mary Sue, but a weapon" (and it looks like you agree), so people were looking for what could be salvaged out of the trope.
Calling someone a pedant is an automatic Insult Backfire. Real pedants will be flattered."I'm not sure" in the sense "Is this even allowed - yet another Mary Sue" and not "This is probably redundant" - since Mary Sue Item* is distinct enough from Mary Sue that it might be warranted its own page.
But is it widespread enough? A Mary Sue in item form?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMary Sue is such a loaded, judgmental, inherently negative concept. I don't think we want any more tropes that use "A specific type of Mary Sue" as a starting point.
Like, the name God Mode Weapon made me think of God Mode (or Super Mode) as an equippable weapon. And that might be a trope. Wild Guns has a Vulcan Cannon gun that you can use for a short period of time as a Limit Break. Kirby Air Ride has the Dragoon and the Hydra that can only be used if you manage to collect all three pieces before the Timed Mission ends. But that has nothing to do with being a Mary Sue.

Rhymes with "Protracted."So this is basically an All Powerfull Item? The I Win Button in the form of an item such as The One Ring in Lord Of The Rings or the scepter of domination in Record Of Lodoss War?

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!If this is a thing, it definitely needs a little more Tropes Are Not Bad.
Many times the thing is just a Macguffin and never used outside of certain sequences like the intro. Many times if the badguys get the item they screw themselves or tricked and such. It for sure is not always a bad thing.
I would put a Genie's lamp and such in that category.
Invincibility Powerup is related to this too.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!"God mode" is a video gaming term, so unless this is a video gaming trope it could use a better name. And if it is a video gaming trope, I think we already have it under a different name.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! Why does this page have 4 TRS tags?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe thread was made when we had the default tag bug, so when the OP tried to create it, three new, unidentifiable threads showed up. The threads must have been zapped, but apparently, the tags remain.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerReally, this trope could be folded into Story-Breaker Power with no issue. There's already a few entries there regarding objects of power.
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn.Clocking for lack of activity.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.What is this "it's not a trope" thing?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think that God Mode Item is tropable if we're talking about an item that puts you into God Mode. But this trope is something completely different and not really tropable—we don't need this Mary Sue stuff.
Since it has no wicks or inbounds, I support cutting it. With the amount of work it would take to get this into a tropable form, we'd have to start over from scratch anyway.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Bumping this for votes and noting that the top option seems to be the best one, since a Mary Sue weapon is closest to Story-Breaker Power rather than MacGuffin (and Infinity +1 Sword has additional criteria besides just "all-powerful")
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI oppose merging into Story-Breaker Power because the name God Mode Item doesn't imply that trope at all. A God Mode Item is an item that puts you into God Mode. It's only going to confuse people if that name goes to a completely different concept.
The fact that the current definition of this trope resembles Story-Breaker Power is irrelevant because there are no existing wicks for the current version of the trope.

Crown Description:
This trope is for "an item that is a Mary Sue". It is not related to the video gaming term God Mode. It has 7 wicks, zero inbounds.
This page has several problems:
