There's a few examples in the list of the type eg. "series-wide recurring boss always uses the same attack", like Dracula and Death from Castlevania. Those don't count, right? It's not a template if it's the exact same guy.
Okay, so I created a crowner. Unfortuntately, doing so ends me up at the URL of "http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/crowner.php?create=yes", rather than the URL of that particular crowner. So I'm not sure how to link to it now, but it would be nice if someone could attach it here.
@28: That's been a bug since forever. It used to be even worse — attempting to edit issue text or add votes bounced you back to the first-alphabetic crowner in the system (BiggestComplaint/Firefly) instead of the crowner in question.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you. You need to Get Known to get one of those.

What would be the best way to fix the page?
The options are not exclusive.

Clarify that the trope is about a sequel or spinoff that contains a boss with the same strategy or attack patterns as in the earlier game, even though it is explictly not the same character.
(if it were the same character, that's a Recurring Boss; if it's not the same series, that's probably a Shout-Out or just plain coincidence)

Make the name clearer, because of abuse noted in this post.
