Current pic is a little....eh for my tastes. Kind of small and low quality. Darth Maul was the first guy to come to mind, and has a wealth of GIS results. Here's the first one I grabbed at a glance that looked good. (Might need to be resized)

I'd prefer an in-film shot of Maul if we can find a good one.

That's not bad, but the one that I was really thinking of was the brief shot where Maul and the Jedi lock sabers and Maul's snarling at them.

There's also this, but we'd have to get permission to use it.

[up][up] For some reason, I think the image of him in the cloak is actually more "evil"-looking than that image.

I prefer the desert cloak version.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.

Wouldn't it be preferable to show him, well, doing something evil?

I like desert version of him okay, but the guys has horns. Needs more horns!

You know there is a size rule of "smaller is better" on this wiki, correct? Things under 300px on all sides is best.

Besides size (not really an issue), what's wrong with the current image? It has a lot of red and black everywhere (including the background) and looks fairly menacing.

When resizing, I tend to make "landscape" images max width and "portrait" images 350 px tall (recent), though that varies by image content and what size looks best.

Darth Maul is great but would be nice if the image a) is from the movie, b) shows his horns, and c) shows him looking or doing something more evil (possibly in the same frame as an Obviously Good guy, like in Good Colors, Evil Colors).

I do like the headshot. The first one is maybe a little too blurry.

[up][lol]

The headshot looks good, though the desert and the Deviant Art also work for me.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Perhaps we could juxtapose an image of Darth Maul's face with an image of the moment when he stabs Qui-Gon Jinn?

[up][up] I'm not fond of the first one. The second one is a nice pic, but the light from the saber softens the obviousness of the color scheme.

[up] We could try it, but I'm not sure "oh, and he also killed somebody" is precisely needed for a primarily visual trope.

The lightsaber is red; it is part of the color scheme.

Showing that Darth Maul's entire body is red and black shows the trope much more than just his face though.

[up][up] Up close it looks whitish pink. And there's a blue effect going on behind him in the picture.

Looks red to me. All lightsabers are white in the middle and colored by a glow around that.

I like 17.1, though, looks most evil IMO. Cropped (296):
