I have to agree that a spec. ed. teacher disrespecting her pupils is a cardinal sin. I know some people who are either SE teachers themselves or work with SE teachers. You can be sure that when I was telling them about Alicia and how she essentially insulted her students, they were not happy with that.

is it me, or have the past few seasons all been morons outside the returning players? This season has been utter crap.

The lame decisions of so many of the castaways over the past couple seasons (Colton convincing the men to willingly go to tribal, the mob/sheep mentality of redemption island series, etc) is precisely the reason I'm finally planning to audition for the show when they open up again at some point this month.

-laughs- Well here come the winner. Kim wins. By being a friend to those she stab in the back, victory was assured.

Yeah, Kim winning the million bucks was a Foregone Conclusion the minute it became clear that the spotlight was almost entirely focused on her at the very last Tribal Council.

Seeing Colton's mother was quite the treat, especially when Colton did an Oh Crap reaction to finding out that she was there. I bet his family would make first-rate talk show material!

It was interesting how Kat revealed Hidden Depths at the end with her having open heart surgery more than once. That's serious life-changing stuff we're talking about here!

It'll be interesting to see who shows up next season, especially when some of them will be people who could pulled off of previous seasons due to life-threatening conditions and created a good amount of What Could Have Been.

I'm kind of hoping Michael (from Australia, I think) comes back, but due to my understanding of his lack of desire to come back in previous all-star seasons, I'm not holding my breath.

I am worried, however, that Colton will make a comeback, since he fits the profile of being evacuated and seems like he'd love to get a second shot. I also couldn't help but notice that the reunion show seemed to be trying extra hard to cover for him in light of all the hatred he'd gotten from the fans for some reason. I worry it's because they're trying to brace fans for his return.

Great new for you! Survivor started this week, and three people who had to leave the game due to injuries are back in action! These three people are Russell (Swan), Jonathan, and Michael. Yes, Colton doesn't return here (thankfully), and Michael is back and wants to prove that he's more than just that guy who fell into the fire. The trouble is he's a little accident prone, with cuts and maybe blisters on his body. Michael better stay away from fires!

Russell's tribe went to Tribal Council, and it was him versus Zane. Zane got voted out. Zane thought he was such a Magnificent Bastard, but evidently he was just a Smug Snake. Oops!

-laughs- Yeah. Kinda shot yourself in the foot, outing yourself as the weakest link in the time when we need strong physical people.

Yeah, it was good to hear that Michael is coming back and that Colton isn't, but I'm going to have to wait to watch the premiere and the second episode until later this week - internet/TV stuff that makes it inconvenient at best to be watching that stuff. I also had to miss Hawaii 5-0 premier because of it and will have to be catching it later.

But until I actually watch the show and have reason to think otherwise, I'm going to be rooting for Michael to go all the way. I can even remember (more or less) watching Australia when he ended up doing that crazy pig-killing thing and how his tribe was pretty much dominating until then and that accident was pretty much the game-changer of the season.

Well...he proved himself to be the most accident prone of the group but I think he'll be fine for awhile.

I remember that accident, BECAUSE I HAD FREAKIN MATH HOMEWORK AND MISSED THE EPISODE!

Yeah, blue tribe looks to be as if it's in danger of being elemeated. Which is too bad because I want to see the Therapist/Bartender duo do well. But if the teaser is anything, accident-prone Michael will be out next.

Oh um...the elimanation. Russel even voted for her. I guess she must have shot herself in the foot as she made it seem rediculous that we were voting out someone for just cuddling together. 'sides, Bartender/Therapist OTP!

And yeah, these few episodes have been very entertaining! Nice to see that again.

This episode was...not fun. Not fun at all.

Poor Skupin is kind of an injury magnet, isn't he?◊ I don't know if it's just the producers playing it up, but if this keeps going I'm going to wonder if his falling in the fire was just an inevitability that hit sooner rather than later.

I know! Michael just dives into the water with the swimming goggles, and they shattered, cutting his face and having some blood on it. Never Live It Down is definitely Michael's schtick when it comes to injuries he has suffered!

The tribe that Russell's on is in big trouble now, isn't it? I mean, Angie got voted out, and now it's just three of them. Mark my words, the upcoming episode is going to be a make-it-or-break-it moment for them!

Blue tribe. The Woobies of the season.

Oh, you're telling me! Poor Russell. I actually liked him. Okay, he threw temper tantrums and had a big ego, but when the tribe you're in loses 4 times in a row, it really tests your composure. It also begs the question: what causes a tribe to lose that number of times in a row? Still, at least he went out the proper way, and didn't have to be taken out of the game due to medical emergency!

Now that the blue tribe is down to 2, something really has to give there. That bit about someone having to be taken out of the game due to medical emergency seems to have Irony in it, because 3 survivors came back into this game because of medical emergencies years ago, and now someone's gonna be taken out from that!

And they are a physically and mentally strong duo. But...seems LO Lrific that they shall be saved by what appears to be someone getting sick.

Why didn't Denise get the idol, she looked more in need of trouble than Malcom?

Anyway, red versus yellow. Glad that Denise is still managing to stay around.

It's nice to see that the blue tribe has been dissolved, Malcolm became part of the yellow tribe, and Denise became part of the red tribe. That brings it down to two tribes.

Still, I think we can agree that the red tribe has turned into The Woobie in place of the blue tribe. Why? Well...

1. Dana of the red tribe got really sick, and she decided to quit.
2. Despite this, immunity challenge still happened, resulting in the red tribe losing and voting out Dawson.

When a tribe loses two members in one episode at this point, that's bad news! Fortunately, they still have a ways to go before the merge happens, so if they can win the next two challenges, they'll still have a chance by the time the merging into one tribe occurs. <Crosses fingers>

-nods nods- But all of my emotional investment was built up towards Denise and Malcom. Most of all, I want to see these two win and I don't care about the other teams because of this. Mean guys on yellow tribe? Eh. Former Survivor doing his best to survive? Eh. Therapist/Bartender OTP!

I have a feeling that Denise and Malcom will be a pair to watch. Both are in relatively good shape at the moment within their own tribes, so assuming Red doesn't loose it's next three immunity challenges and Malcom does get in the outs with Yellow, those two could be very dangerous come the merge, especially if Malcom still has hidden immunity and hasn't told anyone about it by then.
