Just spotted a niggle-like issue thingy: if you go straight to a YKTTW's discussion page, you can't see hats 'n stuff. You have to go through the actual YKTTW page and go longhand. It's not that big a deal, but just highlighting it.
^ I've noticed that for a long time, and it is a big deal in certain cases (such as TRS dealing with poorly launched tropes). A YKTTW's permanent URL must display everything that it does on the main listing.
I don't remember if it was brought up, but in a YKTTW I'm curently working on, I noticed something. With my draft closed, it shows four hats, but when I open the draft and go below the comments, it only displays three hats.
Bug?
Temptation lies in the forbidden. Some doors should never be re-opened.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but I've found that YKTTW aren't opening. Clicking on the button gives the same ~1 sec pause as I'd expect just before the OP and replies appear and the "read" marker disappears, but nothing else happens.
Oh, lardy be! Can't write, can't draw. Can code, a little.
Would it be possible to re-implement the "comments added since you last opened the draft have a green check next to them" feature? Scanning down the list of comments (particularly if it's one of the ones with 50+ comments) trying to find the first comment you haven't read yet is less-than-ideal.
The tagging system doesn't seem to be working. I've tagged Band Of Heroes with "Needs examples" and and "Description needs help", but neither it nor any other YKTTW draft shows up when I use the "filter by tag" feature.
I think that's deliberate.
However, the new layout isn't causing the green "updates" check to go away, even after the draft has been opened (in the new window) and everything has been read.
@689: I changed the one sentence that needed changing. Something about the tag system should probably be drafted and added at some point, but only the bit about how to reply needed changing on the current page. This is an interface change, not a process or policy change; the YKTTW Guidelines deal almost exclusively with the process and policy.
Allow sponsors to hook/unhook and close crowners on a YKTTW

Implement some form of enforced tags with "tag heirarchy", e.g. if tag A is present then tag B isn't displayed because A renders B irrelevant. For example, Needs A Better Description would override No Launching Please because bad YKTTW's shouldn't be launched anyway.

Change Description to say Description (At Least Three Sentences, No Examples). The OP would be free to supply examples starting with the first comment/reply.

Remove "sponsor" from the top of the thingie.

Three stage creation: Description Refinement; Examples Round; Name Crowner.
