I HAVE SPYRO YEAR OF THE DRAGON.:

Responsible adult
I think the second game had the best hubs. 1 and 3 did have some kinda empty, little bit lonely hubs. But in 2, they were big and expansive and pretty and they had NP Cs lurking and lots of little spots to explore and despite the fact that I never played the game until I was in my 20's, it made me feel like I was 10 again. :D

Oh, and although I'm late to the party... Sgt. Byrd is awesome. That is all.

Does anyone remember the mushroom-flower puzzle thing? I've been stuck on that for awhile.

I'd like to help, and I remember getting through that particular part, but I haven't played the game in years. Sorry. sad

I just recently realized a bit of amusing amusingness: I didn't get this game until earlier this year, 2012. A full 12 years after it was originally introduced. In other words... in the next actual Year of the Dragon. :D

Is it just me, or is the second boss rather... cheap? He's so dang fast! There's no time to line up your headbutts at all. Either you whiff a lot, or you take so many hits, the game drops you into Mercy Mode.

Also, considering Sgt. Byrd: I love that later games made him a bit more parodic and made it a bit more obvious how he flies (it made him a bit more comedic but did nothing to dampen his Bad Ass), but I miss his army of French hummingbird ladies. When you picture "Lady of War, " you do not picture French hummingbirds. And that's why they're amazing.

It's okay X, when I'm feeling less ADD I'll just YouTube it or find it in a walkthrough.

Is this the one where you have to beat all the minigames to get to the final boss? Or was that Ripto's Rage?

I finally did it, now I feel like it's been pretty obvious the whole time.

Is it out on PSN?

Yes. Just don't go in expecting to hear the awesome Evening Lake song... :(

I don't normally like too much Spyro music in the original trilogy, but I do admit that Evening Lake's tune is pretty sweet.

Pfft~~~ Midday Garden is the best thing to come out of Spyro 3. =w= I loves that place. Spooky Swamp is my favorite level next to Bamboo Terrace.

[up] But Spooky Swamp had that bomb Escort Mission with the nearsighted scientists who insisted in bumping into every obstacle in an open field that they could have just cut around. Screw them.

[up] True but at the same time Bamboo Terrance had that mission where you had to shoot the kimono wearing umbrella toting dudes that knocked the panda's off their homes when they tried to go inside. I sucked at that. XP

In any case~ Spooky Swamp is my fav level from there troublesome mission aside~. :3

Departed days ahead.
Spooky Swamp earned all of my eternal hatred after that one 25 game stuck behind the cage in the bomb mission. That was the last gem I ever got before the Super Bonus World.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.

I have the original >_>

When I was a kid, I vastly preferred the first to the second and third, and it was for only one reason- a reason which makes me want to slap myself in the past.

The HUD numbers didn't rotate in the second and third games. >_<

Other than that, I don't remember much of the second and third games, other than having to do some really annoying "save these idiots from getting eaten by dinosaurs" minigame that I would always fail and then feel really bad about and too scared to advance the game (I was ::five::) and this other one where there were the towers and you had to light them or something and collect diodes for some reason.

I just beat the first 120% in 8 or so hours last year, having downloaded it from PSN. I should really get the other ones ;_;
I make video games. They're not the most interesting video games, but they're video games nonetheless.

I have 1 and 3 from SEN, but have like zero chance to play them~

I did 100% the first one back when I had the chance (and Tree Tops and Haunted Towers did take a while).

And yes, Midday Gardens is BOSS. Enchanted Towers and Spooky Swamp FTW.

...what? It's the skatepark!

@Phoenixor: Man, I hate that gem. Had to look up how to get that sucker. Talk about your Guide Dang It.

I don't know what my favorite world in this game is so far! But I think Evening Lake's worlds may be near the top. I didn't like Fireworks Factory that much, but I did like most of the other worlds! Especially Lost Fleet; goop-swimming is always fun.

I wish my copy of Spyro 1 wasn't scratched to heck. I'd love to play through it 100%
