[up] Those... cool

[up][up] You bet yer' fanny... Appearance means everything to me! evil grin

Note the elegance of this fine beauty

Would you believe it has over 1000 horsepower!?

As for price, the last car we were looking for had to be under $10, 000.

Nah, about the only modification I'm going to make to it is having an auxiliary port fitted for my iPod. I am sick to death of carrying around a massive CD wallet.

[up] "Our" Dodge ended up as part of Chrysler Europe, and was sold to Peugeot-Citroen in 1979, with the trucks sold to Renault. The name was mostly used for trucks like the Dodge Commando or the Dodge 50 Series.

[up] well in the States, since Chrysler's in league with the Italians now, they've killed Dodge trucks all together and called them RAM as of 2009. Dodge is their main line of "hip, cool, young, energetic" cars, Chrysler for "luxury", RAM for "Real truck buyers" and commercial vehicles, and SRT for "performance-minded models". [lol]

[up] ...and aren't you now getting similar vans to those used the other side of the Atlantic?

Mum had a PT Cruiser for a while. We liked it, but to be honest, its large turning circle and poor gas mileage meant we had to get rid of it a couple of years ago. As a replacement, we got a Nissan Micra. It's... alright, I guess. It does what we need it to do most of the time. Hell, if nothing else, it's pretty good for learning to drive in.

Some old friends of mine had an imported Chevrolet Blazer, which they bought thinking it would give them cool points and awesome American style. It did...but it also gave them American mileage and American build quality.

[up][up][up] I Yeah finally. It wasn't until 2006 or 7 that we actually got them, For some reason Americans aren't used to tall, European-style cargo vans.

No For some reason we like things fat and wide, instead of sexy and efficient. evil grin

[up][up] PT Cruisers are okay at best, They had a really good idea for retro coach style vehicle with the Prowler and such... But copped out when it came to putting it into production.

With a bit of a bit of work you can really make a PT Cruiser look almost properly retro.

I will admit, I found myself a bit more forgiving of them once the Challenger rolled around.

And perhaps I'll kiss their shoes when one day they release a blown widebody straight from the factory, turnkey and street legal.

nnnnggh I can't wait for Saturday. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a physical object.

Going to spend most of the weekend driving around and getting used to it, I think.

To supersede my previous post, it is definitely a 9-3, not a 9-5.

Just got a new-ish Toyota Corolla S. Really liking it, although the transmission is kinda strange compared to my old Sunfire.

[up][up][up] It's not widebody, but the Hellcat has a supercharger and a power output of 600+ HP. It sounds properly angry too.

I don't know what it's like across the pond, but here where I live (Norway) the Tesla Roadster has taken off in a major way and it is quite a nice sight to be going past several times a day. The bigger cities especially have a host of them.

There's some of them over here, but, given they cost what, 100 grand, when they came out, they weren't exactly an everyman car.

No McLaren P1? No Porsche 918?

Come on, there's the future of hybrids and cars right there.

top gear had a sweet hybrid on the other month. V-8, plus electric motor and batteries. Used in series, over 1000 hp.

Ze Future?...

Unless they can mass produce a hybrid Mc Laren p1 for every man woman and child... I don't see that happening!

At least electric bikes are somehow Attainable on the average budget... And one step closer to CYCLONE CYCLES!

By the way, anyone know what new progress Drayson, BAE and co. have made towards structural batteries?
