My point stands though. TGWTG had Cinema Snob already.

TGWTG also has all the people that review things besides movies and TV shows.

I like Agony Booth in the early days when they made awesome recaps. Now they're just a bunch of opinionated who don't really get out to make good video reviews.

I do like the Saturday Morning Glory thing... A little, pretty mediocre. I miss those ultra long recaps that I would have to read over the course of a day.

I too miss heir written recaps. Especially when they'd gang up on something like Southland Tales.

Plus they could do a much more complete overview of a film with written stuff. I learned so much more about the laughable badness of Battlefield Earth with the recap than I did with say, the Nostlagia Critic's video (though that was still great). Also do like that they knew the difference between recap and review.

Their last great article was Deafula. I dunno what the hell happened to them since.

Also they just sound so bored.

They smelled that sweet, sweet Blip money.

Which, according to a lot of tgwtg people on twitter, comes late every month.

Geez, I knew the webmasters were vocally conservative, but Mark Wilson can't even recap this without a Dennis Miller quip regarding some bug up his ass.

I used to go there, but the prevalence of video over written reviews, and the loss of the forum, which is locked, turned me off big time.

So, are there any good alternative sites that publish the kind of recaps we loved in TAB?
