You missed the fact that the index is just the examples of the trope on this site. I think the index bit should go. It's making it hard to see it's a trope.
Just move it to a "TV Tropes" folder in the example section.

I've also seen this misused to make a lame joke out of anything with "doom" or similar words in the title.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.
The tropes listed here are certainly examples of this trope, but I don't see any need for it to be an index.

Well is just slapping "doom" in a trope name an actual example? That just could be done with "Even on this very site, 'Doom' is used in the names of some tropes for the meaning it conveys."
