What is it with cats and computers?
Princess Aurora is underrated, pass it on.Mine likes my computer too.
She's managed to do things like:
- turning on and off caps lock, num lock, etc.
- turned off the wifi
- opened my browser's help menu
- renamed one of the songs in the playlist I had open to "llllllllllllllllllll7" (or something like that)
- opened the accessibility options and turned on a screen reader
- muted/unmuted the speakers and changed the volume
- posted a frowny face emote in a chat room
- composed posts/messages (usually consisting of a string of a random character. One time it was the number 8. I was so proud!)
Is anyone else's cat really talkative?
Mine is but only after like 1 am.
Oh really when?@Ozbourne and Demetrios: Thank you.
@Everyone's cats: They look great.
Mine is more talkative when he either wants to eat or when he wants to leave the house (or go to the rooftop) at night. Or when he wants some petting.

This is Jem "sitting pretty".◊ It's a pose we've unintentionally trained him to take when he's after food. (i.e. whenever there's someone in the kitchen).
He's not terribly interested in computers. Except that a man with a laptop is his preferred sleeping spot. Not on the laptop, but on the lap with his head flopped over his "seat's" arm. Sometimes he does the walk-in-a-circle-before-sitting-down-thing and hits some random keys. Hasn't done anything interesting though.
Jem's not really talkative, but can be noisy. He purrs like a lawnmover but he won't meow back at you. He does more than occasionally let out a mournful wail because he's lonely and lost us. Our house is big and we moved here when he was ten so sometimes he forgets how it fits together.
You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrDusty is pretty vocal. Usually when she wants something (food, petting) or her litterbox needs cleaning, but sometimes she'll just sit and mew at me for seemingly no reason.
Since her mews still sound VERY kittenish (she's a little over two now) it's super adorable.
Stupid doomed timeline...Sebastian's meows are so unmanly sounding, it's adorable.
Oh really when?Same here with Yuri.
My cat is only talkative when he wants food. He likes lying on my laptop sometimes and would lie across the keyboard as a kitten, but mostly tries to headbutt it out of the way so he can get all my lap.
okay, so we just ripped up the wall-to-wall carpet in our house and replaced it with tile. We just brought the cats back to the house yesterday... and they seem to be oblivious to the removal of the carpet (and thus, to the fact that they'll skid if they try and run at top speed.) So they keep crashing into walls and windows. It's kind of funny, but also sad.
Work hard, increase production, prevent accidents, and be happy. We had a cat that did that in our old house when we took up the carpet to put in hardwood floors.
'Though my parents figured she deserved it since the reason we'd had to take up the carpet in the first place was because she'd peed on it.
Stupid doomed timeline...Cats and computers: Cats love warm things and computers give off heat, so yeah. XD
Jiji doesn't meow much. Typically he does when he really wants into a room that's shut (usually mine in the middle of the night) and when I put him in the car (he really hates car rides). He makes lots of chittering noises though.
People are mirrors. If you smile, a smile will be reflected.Dr. Brittney Barton says the orange tabby she adopted in 2013 has slimmed to 19 pounds with exercise and a special diet. Barton calls Skinny the "resident cat" at her practice, HEAL Veterinary Hospital.
Barton said Friday that Skinny spends weekdays roaming the clinic. The ex-fat cat's weekends are spent at home with Barton and her family.
The vet says Skinny, who was found abandoned near Dallas in 2012 and ended up at a shelter, just had his annual checkup and he's healthy.
Barton says Skinny is living proof that while he's supposed to be a large cat, "he's not supposed to be an obese cat."
Sheesh and I thought my cat was gigantic!
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Does anybody else have a cat who purrs silently? Eddie doesn't purr much, but even when he does it's always totally silent. The only way you can tell he's doing it is if you're touching near his throat and you can feel the vibration. Is anybody else's cat like that?
The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun. No mine makes noise when he purrs. Oh he does also meow at closed doors (I close my door at night because I sleep in the basement and it gets cold otherwise, and whenever my mom or brother aren't available he meows at my door until I wake up).
It is a most adorable sleepy kitty! ^_^
Aw, my cat is sleeping too.
It's kinda annoying actually. He's really warm and fuzzy and it's just too hot for cuddles.
Oh really when?Awww so cute. My kitty is awake and playing right now, though he's often a sleepy kitty.
My cat gets really lonely and cries if someone does sit with him while he eats.
Unfortunately his favorite time to eat is about 1:30 in the morning
Oh really when?I have taken some more pictures of my cat. She is not really a kitten anymore. ^_^
Here she is sleeping on the bag in which I keep my purple dice.
She also enjoys biting my ring although you can hardly see the ring in this picture.
