Something like this?
The thing is, I'm not really sure it shows the trope. It seems like the original getting destroyed is important, and that isn't what happened with mario world.
Broken link
Pretty sure that's not what this trope means.
Rhymes with "Protracted."It's working for me.
Same.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. That Super Mario World comparison the original poster suggested has nothing to do with this trope. I have a pretty vague idea of what this trope is, but I've read and reread the description enough to understand that the suggestion has nothing to do with it.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Agreed. I've been looking for a picture of something messily taped or glued back together after being broken, which I think is what this trope is. There's a scene from Futurama where Zoidberg is trying to glue together a ship in a bottle he broke, but I couldn't find it.
Clock is set.
^^ Checked the episode, there isn't a good shot of the pasted-together ship. The gag is mostly that Zoidberg doesn't even get past opening the container of glue.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Ah well, thanks for trying. I guess they actually subverted the trope.

Could this page's image be a screencap from the NES Mario World port, possibly with comparison to the SNES version?
