All-Purpose Nasuverse Fanfiction Thread

Ah. Well, Homurahara...

So.....

Since I've given up on my Fate Prototype crossover (which completely stalled out of the gate anyway), I'm thinking of working on another idea:

This one that I mentioned a few pages back, that was inspired by my Servants who should never be summoned snippet with Morrigan as Temptress.

Basically, I went to do an Apocrypha type story, with the seven orthodox classes vs seven irregular classes, so that's Monster (not a class technically, but I'm using it), Funny Vamp / Temptress (a joke class, but also using it) Beast, Magical Girl, Ruler, and Saver.

The twist is that each class will be filled by an Anime or Manga character from another world.

The plot will take place in an alternate (or maybe the exact timeline of) the Normal ending of Heaven's Feel. About ten years have passed (maybe less, I don't know), and Shirou didn't exactly succeed in totally destroying the grail (like Kiritsugu and Saber before him.

However, a new group has appeared, with far more knowledge of the Holy Grail than any one outside the three families should possess and manages to actually steal the reforming Grail out of Fuyuki, taking it to Europe to hold their own Grail war.

Knowing that it's still corrupt, Rin and Sakura (who's temporarily pulled herself together) travel to Europe with Rider (still has Sakura provided her with Prana remember) with Waver Velvet, deciding to join this new war, in the hopes of claiming the Grail (or destroying it) before the threat of Angra Mainyu can be awoken again (as no one really wants to listen to them when they say IT'S FUCKING EVIL!!!!!!).

Since she exists outside the normal summoning system for this war, Rider is playing a similar role to Gil, but mostly acts directly as Sakura's bodyguard (the fact that she's a Holy grail vessel is unknown to everyone but her, Rin, and Waver, but they take no chances and keep it a closely guarded secret). This means they can trick the other team into think they've already summoned all seven, while secretly calling in the true Rider for this war to have a surprise in their corner.

I figure that Archer will show up again, just to see how he interacts with an older Rin (especially when she reveals that she knows who he really is now, and that there may have been personal reasons for summoning him), but the other servants will come from other other Fate works. I may go for two for each series mostly. I haven't totally decided who to use yet.

This one is gonna be equal parts plain ass silly, and deadly serious, as is proper for both the premise, and Fate as a whole. It'll take a while, but I will have my Rider vs Morrigan naked cat fight churn out something really good. I've been wanting to do something Fate related for a while, and this may be it.

Okay, so other than Morrigan, who are your crossover characters?

Gonna vote for Godzilla as Monster, King Kong as Beast, Sailor Moon as Magical Girl, Thouzer as Ruler, and for Saver.... Kaworu or Minato.

I don't think Rob watched Evangelion.

Yeah. Never been able to sit down and do it truthfully.

I just don't want to watch a story where the whole point seems to be for the Main character to be knocked down whenever he starts to undergo positive character development.

Read the Evangelion manga. All the character development eventually leads to a more or less satisfying payoff, unlike the anime.

The Evangelion Manga that's older than the 15 Hisei Riders? Or the ones that are harem comedy series?

I believe he means the original one based off the original Manga.

The manga with the notorious Schedule Slip that, despite starting before the anime aired, is only recently getting around to the events of Third Impact.

Not the assorted spin-offs.

To be fair, it isn't like the anime's significantly younger either, so I question your need for pointing that out twice.

Unless he is a vampire who can suck life, money, and will dry, then probably not.

Or however the entry in Arc's Matrix went. I am too lazy to check.

Jack is, however, a Memetic Omnisexual. He will hit on just about anyone or anything. An associate of his with similar tendencies had a moment where he was calling a poodle beautiful.

A poodle is fine too.

I don't think we need fanon!Shiki Tohno as a Servant any time soon.

You assume Jack is as picky as fanonShiki. He isn't. Man, woman, humanoid insect it matters not. On top of that he has Ciel-esque immortality.

I dunno, fanon!Tohno is perfectly fine with raping a cat.

And he's a mary sue too? Yeah, definitely fanon!Tohno.

You know, at least the Nasuverse was nice enough to provide us with Ryougi. It's good to know that no matter how Sueish a character gets, she can still kill it.

Technically, so can Tohno, just that he'd likely melt his brain in the process.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

These are my two friends, Shiki 2, and Shiki 1, and they, can kill anything under the sun!

I swear, by all that is holy, I will use that in something one of these days. That is a solemn vow.

Yeah, if I ever want to hire a bodyguard and am only allowed one such guard, Shiki Ryougi would be very high on my list of candidates to choose from. Maybe even the top-ranking one, if I can get a guarantee that her third personality will step in if there's a threat that regular Ryougi can't deal with (which there are, sadly; she's still a mortal human, after all), instead of turning a blind eye to it because s/he's too lazy/apathetic to care.

Myself, I'd go with Jeremiah Gottwald for the LOYALTY - erm, insurance against potential backstabbing.

Good points. I think I see what you mean now. It seems I just underestimated Sakura's resentfulness. But this gives me few ideas...

A fanfic I mentioned awhile back Fate Parallel Fantasia finally reached the point where all of the Servants were summoned and the Grail War started for real. (After 30 chapters)

Lancer ended up screwed over by luck and ended up being the second Servant to die thanks to his luck.

Medea died first after the second Servant she summoned ended up being Shiki Ryougi who she decided to kill because she couldn't keep two Servants around yet. Needing a Master Shiki ended up picking Zouken. That can't possible go wrong.
