Battle Intro has two quotes. The first one is better, but the potholes have to go.

Would the quote for Critical Dissonance fit better on Critic-Proof? I was unaware of the latter trope when I added the quote.

Peace is the only battle worth waging.

I'm thinking yes, especially since that quote describes a situation in which critics hate a movie while audiences love it (or at least, spend money on it, which is all that matters from a studio perspective) whereas Critical Dissonance can also happen the other way around (critics love it, audiences hate it). And come to look at it, the current quote for Critic-Proof might work better for Critical Dissonance, since it describes both variations (whereas Critic-Proof is only for movies that do well despite critical drubbing, not movies that do poorly despite critical acclaim).

[up]I agree with the swap.

@Karxrida: Neither makes much sense to me.

What do you guys think of the Animal Eye Spy quote and my proposal at the top of the page?

Two suggestions. First for Reformed Bully: Gideon Grey's line from Zootopia:

Gideon: Judy, I-I'd just like to apologize for how I behaved in my youth. I had a lot of self-doubts that manifested in the form of un-checked rage and aggression. [Beat] I was a major jerk.

And for Embodiment of Virtue: Michael Carpenter from Skin Game in The Dresden Files''

You all think the critical word in the phrase "Sword of Faith" is "sword." ... The world always thinks that the destruction of a physical vessel is victory. But the Savior was more than merely cells and tissue and chemical compounds—and Fidelacchius is more than wood and steel.

I am a huge fan of the Dresden Files. I like that quote. But how much would a third party realise why this quote is particularly apt?

Any more opinions on Battle Intro? There's no quote page, so we'll probably just have to leave it blank if we don't find a replacement.

[up]What's the issue with the current?

EDIT: It seems that someone has changed the quote. I think the one that's on the page now is fine as is.

I've never read The Dresden Files, and that quote looks great to me.

Even if there's no quote page, there's usually plenty swimming around in the examples. A few years ago I made a whole long page from such quotes! tongue

The quote on Punctuated Pounding is unsourced. Which wouldn't be too problematic, if not for the fact a Web search reveal absolutely no other instance beyond this page, making it unclear whether it's actually quoting something.

So, can we find a source or do we look for a better quote?

There's probably no source. Luckily, there seem to be a lot of other quotes like:

Hellboy: It's for YOU! [wham!] You shouldn't [wham!] hurt [wham!] people! [wham!]

[up][up]Not to mention, the lack of pounding sound effect makes the quote look more like Punctuated! For! Emphasis!

The quote for Just Plane Wrong has little to do with the trope. It's more an example of the character being an idiot.

Since Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking doesn't have a quote, I suggest this quote from Heavy Metal:

Lincoln Sternn, you stand here accused of 12 counts of murder in the first degree, 14 counts of armed theft of Federation property, 22 counts of piracy in high space, 18 counts of fraud, 37 counts of rape...and one moving violation.

[up][up][up]Total agreement. The quote involves both planes and stupidity. But not in the right way. Does not communicate the trope.

Not really feeling the quote on Mugging the Monster. It's kinda awkward out of context, it's difficult to format correctly, and it's from the same source as the picture (which isn't against the rules, but it's preferred to have different sources). Here are two suggestions, both from Discworld.

They had the heavy, stolid look of those thugs whose appearance in any narrative means that it's time for the hero to be menaced a bit, although not too much, because it's also obvious that they're going to be horribly surprised.
Mort

People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind a rock then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else."

Mort quote works better imo.

[up][up]The first one is better.

The quote Hercule Poirot is a rant from Christie complaining about the title character. It's technically Word of God, but I'm not sure if we want such negativity on the work page.
