No, this isn't a thread where I separate fic into three different categories, the third of which is nebulously defined as "worse than bad somehow."

It's a thread where I pimp my fanfic based on The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, called Fall of San Francisco

You know, the first one would have been better to make a new thread for. It would be better to have used the All Purpose General Fanfiction Posting Thread or in the Do You Write Fanfics? thread.

We could just turn this into a thread where you post one good fanfic, one bad fanfic and one really ugly fanfic!

For a Good fanfic, I recommend stitching up the circuitboards by dellaluce. It's a Homestuck fanfic, and although it may be a little difficult to get into if you aren't familiar with the work, the basic info is:

The main character is named Jade; she lives on an island with her dog, Becquerel (who has godlike powers); her grandfather died when she was very young, and she basically had to raise herself; she has three friends who she has never met and uses a instant messaging program to keep in touch with; she is a Gadgeteer Genius; and she is waiting to start playing a universe-changing game called SBURB.

Bad: There is a pokemon fanfic, Permewtations by Flashfire.

It automatically loses ten points for that awful pun, but that aside, the main character is kind of a Mary Sue (if I'm thinking of the correct one. It's a raichu-human hybrid or something), and the inconsistent paragraph line breaks makes my eyes want to commit seppuku.

As for The Ugly: HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (link here). This is a Harry Potter fanfic that is not so much bad, as purely bizarre. The writing is grammatically correct, punctuated properly, the prose is... I guess you could say "eloquent".

But fuck, is it ever weird.

For instance:

"Dobby relished his groinsaw's roar as he withdrew the flesh-choked blade from the astronaut's ruined skull. He turned to Harry, thrusting his bloody, retina-covered pelvis with elfin fervor."

That is the first paragraph.
