I have seen that one. Very cool. The Japanese had some interesting twists on their version of the Harquebus. Like larger shot but seemingly shorter barrels. They also made all weather lacquered wood lock covers for use in inclement weather.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Those were some devastating weapons when they were first used in Japan.

Let me see if my Japanese-fu is up to the task... Hai, omoshiroi desu ne. Kakkoii. Was that right?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The recoil for black powder match locks on some of those pieces was pretty impressive to.
Who watches the watchmen?はい、そうです。
Yeah, that's right.
If it were a group of concerned citizens, that'd be one thing, but this is an actual firearms company griping about an actor's thoughts on American gun culture. It really reeks of "please keep buying our guns!", not "this European is threatening the Second Amendment!"
Not really a positive mark for America's gun culture I feel.
Oh really when?Eh, more like No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: people are talking about them, some probly will buy their guns.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be a case on The First 48There are plenty of people that feel very strongly approve of gun rights and will likely buy them just for the statement. People who own guns and support guns right but think this is excessive, probably don't buy truck loads of guns.
I'm baaaaaaackFound something interesting for you guys. A guy who does tutorials on long range shooting. I warn you he is a bit nutty but the tutorials are good.
Ranging with scopes
I can't help but notice the man that got tackled doesn't look white.
Oh really when?^^ I'm surprised there haven't been more events like that, with someone taking it upon themselves to take the law (or more frequently accurately what they think is the law) into their own hands, with the premise that merely being armed automatically makes a person a threat to society, as occasionally gets advanced as an argument by those who oppose private firearm ownership.

IIRC That isn't the first time a legal gun holder has been harassed and man handled in public in the past couple years.
Who watches the watchmen?Naturally, the gun owner was black.
Although I guess that man is lucky he was assaulted. If our vigilante instead called the cops on him he may have just been shot on sight.
"Silly gun owners with hero fantasy! Just let the cops handle it!"
"Scary gun owners just want to take the law into their own hands!"
"Gun rights only benefit white people, of course gun control types like myself oppose them because we're Social Justice Allies!"
Man, three-in-one.
Hope tackler gets the book thrown at him.
The gun owner wouldn't have been shot by the cops. The other guy was in the wrong as seen by his own arrest.
Given recent events I really doubt that unfortunately. I also doubt the guy would have tackled him if he was white.
Oh really when?We have an instance in recent memory where the cops shot a black man carrying a (fake) gun, without warning, in a state where open carry is legal. Maybe the local cops in this case would be less trigger happy, but it's not unheard of.
Army Delays Effort to Replace M9 9mm Pistol
The U.S. Army announced it is delaying a competition to replace its current M9 9mm pistol with a new Modular Handgun System (MHS).
Army contracting officials released a Jan. 12 special notice on Fed Biz Opps.gov, announcing the delay of the final Request for Proposals for MHS.
...
The announcement follows a Military.com report about the December decision of the service’s Configuration Control Board to deny Beretta USA’s submission of a modernized version of the M9 pistol, the M 9 A 3, as an alternative to MHS.
I strongly suspect this is so that Beretta USA and it's fanboys at the Pentagon can bitch and whine. Expect a protest too. The factory is in Maryland so I suspect that their Congresscritter got involved as well.

All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be a case on The First 48Told you. Acquisition is fubar. The M9 gets the job in its current iteration but there are better options.
Who watches the watchmen? There is now a Carl Gustav rocket that can be fired from confined spaces. It's a PDF, might as well warn about that.
Apparently there is a tandem charge rocket for the CG as well. I wonder how well that would work against modern armour. Seems like good aiming/tactics would be a must anyway...
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotThey have had a Tandem Round for a while actually. The low impulse round is a bit new.
