You have to know who that is and what happened or it doesn't make any sense.

Same, familiar with the story but haven't seen that House episode.

Yeah, that means nothing if you aren't already aware of what happened. Heck, I know the story behind it and it still took me a minute to figure out what it was supposed to mean.

Kal Penn's example came to mind immediately for me too as it's probably the most egregious example in the last decade, but it really doesn't picture well. I would say imageless is the way to go.

I'd be fine with imageless.
